21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Am I crazy or is this normal? on: April 17, 2009 08:22:44 PM
I don't know if this happens to anyone but me or not. i want to make a dress out of a tshirt and a bandanna, sounds easy right? not. the tshirt is a really fresh one i bought online (that isn't sold any more) and I'm scared to cut it in fear that ill screw up and ruin what I'm doing. i bought the shirt when i was heavier its a  big 2x and i now wear a XL/L. i love the shirt so i want to make it a dress to wear this summer. i love this shirt and i don't want to screw it up. here's a pic of what i plan on doing made in paint...

i may do an x in the back. idk. id have to cut the shirt first. omg.
thanks for looking at my madness. hope this is in the right place/ makes sense. ~Ozzy

23  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenges / Re: Craft Challenge #38 - Eggcellent Upcycling Challenge - Due May 1 - May 5 2009 on: April 02, 2009 12:10:23 AM
As another bewildered Aussie that has never even seen these ooohparently ubundant & even bothersome plastic eggs - what on earth are they for?!

Even if they are availabel to buy here, I won't be buying any! Apart from being a waste of $ I agree it wouldn't be recycling & I don't think anyone needs any more plastic than they already have!

Will eagerly await next months challenge...!

I'm with you...
Perhaps you could check the availability of the supply at the heart of the challenges? The point is recycling, but it seems Aussies at least would be buying these plastic thingos to craft with.

If you don't have the plastic eggs lying about your place, perhaps think about finding a similar thing you do have rather than buying plastic. Maybe kinder surprise egg plastic capsules? I'm sure the mods woudl rather a slightly different shaped container recycled than a whole lot of people buying these things.

you have a good idea with the similar items being ok for use schnerby. i dont celebrate easter or know any one that could give me their eggs and buying them wouldnt make sense because your supossed to upcycle and when you buy them the factory makes more to replace them. ive got some plastic containers that come with hair dye they close like easter eggs and are a bit smaller and kinda cylindricly shaped that i have a good idea for but i dont wanna move the project up on my list to enter and they not be a valid project for the contest. are similar containers going to be valid? sorry if no one gets what im saying its kinda late. *yay im the red owl!*

first i screamed and then i ran to tell my mom. while i was explaining the tragedy i started crying and mom started laughing. i was like wth is wrong with you?! and she reminded me what today is. i really hope this is a joke. i say that because even though today is today im still crazy and thinking it could be true and the date is just coincidence.
