11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / sewing a t-shirt with an old sewing-machine on: July 02, 2007 02:23:09 PM
I love looking  all the sewing projects in this site and I am trying to reconstruct a t-shirt ...but I have a problem with the sewing machine because it is twenty years old and only makes 4 differents stitches:1 straight and 3 zig-zag (narrow, medium and wide zig-zag)...I used the medium zig-zag for the t-shirt refashion but the result is not good enough. The seam is not elastic and it seems is going to unstitch when I dress myself. How can I reconstruct a t-shirt with my old sewing-machine??? what kind of stitch I have to make??

Sorry about my English, I hope somebody can understand my question and help me...I am so excited about use the ideas I have seen in this site!!!
