hey everyone!! This gallery is so huge that I have only been able to keep up with a few of the posts that have gone up. but! here is the super fabulous loot that littlejoi sent me. I am seriously in AWE of her amazing skills!!

She stuffed it with polyfill! tee-hee this made me happy.

All my loot together!! For those who are curious (From left to rightish) :
2 beautiful knitted scarves, one pink and one brown

Gorgeous pinky-red hand dyed yarn
Ridiculously awesome stocking - it looks like an elf hat!
Wine Cozy and a delishus bottle of Grape Cider

12  what to do with this awesome yarn... in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by blackbird5685 on: October 24, 2007 07:51:09 AM
i bought these two beautiful skiens of yarn from pleasurecrafthttp://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=13375 over on etsy and I was just wondering if anyone has any great ideas about what to do with them Smiley

this is a ridiculously soft 53 skien of wool and angora. i would love something to wear,  because its so so soft. it's thick and thin.

this baby is larger, 127 yards and i think it's a little greener than the picture shows. it's probably like a 5 in weight and fairly consistently spun.

what do you guys think?

13  Re: HPIYP - Harry Potter Invite Your Partner Swap! in The Swap Gallery by blackbird5685 on: October 15, 2007 05:11:21 PM
yay! I've received!

some incredibly cool HP magnets, with coverart from the books!

no flash = a little blurry but a better shot of the true colors.

Also some amazing silk screened notecards! With our friends the puppet pals. Snape, Snape, Severus Snape...

Sorry for the blur again. I somehow cannot take clear pictures without the flash. I heart Ron.

Thank you so much Jen! All these things are amazing and you're the best swap partner ever!

14  many scarves and a pig! in Crochet: Completed Projects by blackbird5685 on: September 09, 2007 09:22:24 PM
yay! I've been crocheting up a freakin storm since I am recently graduated and unemployed....

a little pig

white scarf with pink flower

blue scarf with grey flower

I also made the one skein scarf and the garden scarf from happy hooker, but those are kind of boring, so I'll leave them off for now. I also finished a project for my harry potter swap partner, but I won't post it yet because she might be lurking Smiley

I can't wait till it gets cold enough to actually sport these babies!

15  Harry Potter fake robe! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by blackbird5685 on: July 17, 2007 12:29:56 AM
So, first a disclaimer. I pretty much shamelessly stole this design from user Riddikulus's post here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177375.0 but she said she wants other people to interpret them, so I obliged!

I basically just took a black tee and with a combo of freehand painting and stenciling got the design on there, then sewed a hood on the back.  I love it and I can't wait to wear it on Friday for the release!

The finished shirt!

Myself modeling

It has a hood!

Close up of the Gryffendor crest (anyone have any ideas on how to get that remnant of freezer paper off?!)

Thank you so much for the inspiration, Riddikulus! If anyone wants to do a personal Harry Potter swap, I'd be happy to make you one of these babies!
