21  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Wrap it up! on: August 03, 2007 11:34:59 PM
I'm new to spinning but I've spun up a little so far. Can anyone tell me where or how I can wrap my yarn into this fashion? I'd appreciate it :3

22  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Cute Bulky Scarf on: July 29, 2007 01:11:41 AM
I recently saw this scarf at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5193723 and was totally inspired to make one. My question is what hook size would be able to achieve a result like this? And what would be the best type of yarn?

23  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Shampoo? on: July 27, 2007 03:39:45 PM
So I heard that when you are soaking your yarn to set the twist you can add some shampoo to the water. What is the purpose of this and is it advised?
24  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Your first time on: July 23, 2007 10:35:41 PM
Where do you first learn to spin? Did you teach yourself? Did you watch youtube vids? Read a book? Mom?
25  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Pleated Clutch on: July 23, 2007 03:35:09 PM
I recently bought a sewing machine and was wondering if it would be ideal for a beginner to do something pleated or maybe a simple tote first.
26  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Wheels on: July 22, 2007 09:11:58 PM
So I'm really interested in buying a spinning wheel but I have a few issues. I'm only 17 so I don't have much money. I really only want to buy from the US because I don't want to spend another 40 to get it from the UK. I really don't care though if it's secondhand or new.

So my question is to people who didn't pay full price for their wheel.

What type of wheel do you have? Where did you purchase it? And how much did you pay for it?
27  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Noro :3 on: July 10, 2007 01:39:14 AM
So I've recently gotten back into crocheting and I have seen many people using Noro. I am in love with the colors and its versatility and was wondering where I could purchase it besides online? Is it purchasable in Michaels? Hobby Lobby?
28  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Safety Pins = LOVE = House X3 on: July 03, 2007 12:17:12 AM
I'm sorry, but someday I will have that sexy hunk of flesh! X3

So I decided that I'm going to start making jewelry and also decided I'd start a small project to get my feet wet. Nothing difficult, just something to spice up my messenger when I go back to school.

The charms came from an old necklace I really liked. I stopped wearing it because the chain got nasty and green. I like it, but I would appreciate your critque and opinions! Cheesy

Now a little bit of House for your enjoyment <3
29  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Coin Purse on: July 02, 2007 12:37:24 AM
So I've been a stalker for a long time and finally decided to join. Loving it really. 2:00 am, and I still can't get away :3

I have a coin purse and hat that I do not know if I want to keep or sell them off. Either way, I can't think of a way to spice them up.

The coin purse is a horrendous color of pink that's often seen in a Libby Lu so I wouldn't mind changing that.

The hat is a knit conductor hat, black and white. But I think I'm just going to add some little accents to it. Not sure.

I'm a newbie and I want to start small before I leap into this fantastic hobby.
30  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Glue! on: July 01, 2007 09:01:04 PM
What glue is best for fabrics to plastic? What doesn't get white and stringy but still an effective adhesive?I'm trying to make a wallet.

I'd appreciate the help  Wink
