2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Canadian recon! (first post) on: July 01, 2007 10:12:59 PM
Just in time for Canada Day, eheh.  This is my first recon in a longgg time and I didn't bother with measuring and such (will next time).

Also, there was a little flag on the sleeve that I now have to use! I think I'll put it on a bag...

I'm going to fix the back, because it's not even, haha. Also, I'll make the straps nicer, I don't quite like the look of them.  I still think it's an improvement though!

Mostly I'm just excited to be back in the sewing studio (aka my mom's office).
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Oh, this is love... on: June 29, 2007 03:24:18 PM
I was referred to this site by a Xanga friend and omgosh, I'm so glad. I absolute love all sorts of craft projects!

My mom is actually a professional seamstress with a huge sewing studio and 4 or 5 (I forget) machines, so... I do like to sew.  After devouring the clothing pages here last night, I'm definitely eager to start making new items as well as re-constructing the old! I'll be sure to make up some tutorials as well.

I adore fashion but have never been one to spend much money or anything.  Sound familiar?  Well, I recently lost 50lbs so now I have stuff that's too big that I want to fix up..  and I don't have the funds I'd like to have to buy new things so..   I think this site will be my new lil buddy.  hah.

Li'l summer for ya.... I'm Sophie.  Hm, I'm 19 and married.  Smiley  I'm Canadian... but le husband is American so we sort of have been moving back and forth so far.  I've started going to school for Creative Writing (I'd love to be a journalist in the fashion industry) but it keeps being put on hold.  yadda yadda.
