3  Re: Tutorial: Yellow goodbye bag... in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by fivedollarlove on: July 02, 2007 02:47:00 PM
Well, this was my attempt..

Back:

Front:

Inside:

It turned out quite small.  Mind you, my shirt was smaller so the width of the biggest piece was 17inches instead of 20.

I really only followed the first few steps. By then, the bag was already so thick that I didn't want to add the two small pieces inside!  And I just sewed the straps on rather than doing it like a drawstring.

Still, I'm glad I know how to use a tshirt for a purse now! Especially using the hem as the straps.

Thank you!   Smiley Smiley

Now that I know how it works, I'm going to make one with some nice fabric.

4  Canadian recon! (first post) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by fivedollarlove on: July 01, 2007 10:12:59 PM
Just in time for Canada Day, eheh.  This is my first recon in a longgg time and I didn't bother with measuring and such (will next time).

Before:

After:

Also, there was a little flag on the sleeve that I now have to use! I think I'll put it on a bag...

I'm going to fix the back, because it's not even, haha. Also, I'll make the straps nicer, I don't quite like the look of them.  I still think it's an improvement though!

Mostly I'm just excited to be back in the sewing studio (aka my mom's office).
