1  UNITED STATES / South Carolina / Charleston craft group??? on: February 20, 2009 05:24:55 PM
I have lived in the Charleston area (Summerville to be exact) for 2 1/2 years and now that my children are beginning to be more independent i would love to start a craft group. I'm in to several crafts and love trying new things. and as a stay at home mom i miss social interaction. my children are too old for "mommy groups" now and would like to do crafts rather than just sit around and gossip and crap. although chit chat so to speak is fun while crafting i want to be more productive while doing so..   anyhow if anyone is interested by all means let me know and maybe we can start one. I've started groups before so i can wing it if need be...

hope to meet some fellow craftsters soon.

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / pleaty tote (thanks bouncyflea) on: September 09, 2007 01:58:45 PM

it took me about 2 1/2 hours to make it. the only thing i wish i would have done differently is add interfacing or use a thicker fabric for the outside of the bag.. and it is absolutely the biggest bag i have ever made. but i like them that way. i like having options on how much i can bring on my daily outings with my two kids

thanks for looking and comments and criticism is welcome...

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / handmade gifts for teenage and middle school boys on: July 31, 2007 09:11:08 PM
ok. so i am a sewer. my hub will be deployed for christmas and i am making all of my families christmas gifs this year (to cut down on money and keeping myself sane)  i got the girls covered (who can resist a new bag) but i am totally stumped on what i could possible make for teenage boys...
i thought about a carrier for a handheld game system for one of them but i dont know them well enough to know what they like...
if anyone can possibly help me to enter the mind of a teenage boy and what he might like (other than a girlfriend) any help would be greatly appreciated...

thanks to anyone who can help me out in anyway.

Katie
