1  How to make beaded "links" in Beads: Discussion and Questions by Mayviss on: July 26, 2006 01:01:44 PM
I've been seeing a lot of jewelry like this.  How do I make the loop?  I string on some beads, and go back through the first beads to secure and make it a round loop shape.  How would you go about securing it?  Do I just continue to thread round and round the loop?  What else can I do to secure before breaking the thread?

3  Re: DIY craft kit round II in The Swap Gallery by Mayviss on: February 06, 2006 11:41:19 AM
I received my purse to make a tin purse from Lothruin today!!!

This will make the cutest purse.  The ribbon and beads coordinate wonderfully.  If only I didn't have to get to swatchin' for my knitting olympics project, I would be all over this tonight.  So cute.  I cannot wait.  Thanks Lothruin!!

4  Macrame Santa in Winter Holidays by Mayviss on: November 29, 2005 06:00:56 AM
Despite being able to find macrame cord, beads, or pattern, I was able to concoct this macrame santa that has been much coveted by my beau's mom.

I finished the circular shrug, but still need to post pics.  In the meantime, I ran across this similar design and wanted to get everyone's feedback on how to do it.  Any ideas and thoughts are definitely appreciated!

9  Shrug - pattern from IK Knits in Knitting: Completed Projects by Mayviss on: July 20, 2005 01:02:03 PM
With shorter sleeves.  I used merino wool salvaged from a goodwill sweater and dyed with kool aid.  I had a SNB pal cast on the dreaded 134 stitches!!!
