hi!

i made 2 knitting bags since my knitting is always all over the place and i thought it would be nice to have a propper bag for it (need more bags for other projects now, wish i could pull myself together and do only ONE THING at a time, i am hopeless) and wanted to show you since i always enjoy looking at all the tutorials and pictures on craftster but am too lazy most of the time to upload my pics so i thought i try to get better.

the first one is for myself:





and the second one for my aunt, she loves pink and cats so i thought good idea to use the hello kitty fabric





i made a tiny little pouch/ purse to go with it for the needle and stitch markers


it is really tiny


i kind of used this great tutorial here

but changed the handle and the size in general, mine are far bigger (well, a few inches) so obviously i used longer zippers. the measurements given worked out great for a make up gab when i tried it the first time!

i have lots of nice 100% cotton but other fabric as well..........could swap either or a mixture i think i would love to get cotton fabic for patchwork.

@allthoseeyes: it's rowans tapestry yarn! really nice stuff

oh and first of all i should say javede hand dyed the wool herself isn't it just great!

i got janins parcel today and in it was a beautiful blue scarf with a hat to go with it and a pink scarf for my daughter, soooo pretty! i am thrilled and cant wait (ok thats not true, i am very happy that she's asleep and i can sit here and crochet my ripple blanket) until my daughter wakes up so i can take her out and wear my new scarf and hat have to buy batteries for the cam and then i will post pictures of beautiful work of art  thank you so much janin

oh these are super cute, i adore the fabrics and the way you combined them! i was just about to start sewing one of these, there is a pattern for the exact same style of bag in "bend the rules sewing" by the angrychicken blog owner ( i cant remember her name at the moment)

hey this is really cute we have no tree this year because of lack of space and active toddler oh and a mad cat  but i remember this for next time we have a tree
