1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: dog sweaters? on: February 28, 2008 03:34:45 PM
I used Dogs in Knits by Judith L. Schwartz for a dog sweater I made. I love the patterns in that book. She also tells you how to measure a dog. But, just in case you can't, there is a list of rough measurements based on small, medium, or large breeds. I've also heard that Men who Knit and the Dogs Who Love Them has a comprehensive list of dog breeds and their average measurements.

I love the way the sweater looks on you. Great job!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Heavily Modified Carie Cropped Cardigan (Fitted Knits) on: February 28, 2008 02:08:21 PM
Cute! I love the way it looks as a longer cardigan. Good idea!

Wow! Beautiful! I love the attention to detail in the sleeves, pockets, and those wonderful, handmade toggles. Great job (to your dad too)!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Uses for 100% cotton yarn on: January 20, 2008 11:44:29 PM
I love the idea of making bathmats from cotton. They're so much easier to wash than the furry kind you buy at Kmart. On Knitty Gritty, they had a very cute idea for some sushi inspired knits for the bathroom that used cotton (I'm sure the pattern's on their website somewhere). I'm saving up for those projects myself!

Awesome!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: question about knitted socks on: December 27, 2007 04:49:14 PM
Sad! What kind of yarn did you use?
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help me shop! A.C. Moore on: December 27, 2007 04:48:15 PM
I agree with the idea of a knitting bag. They can be so expensive otherwise. I also might invest in a sewing box to keep all of my knitting accessories in too.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: (almost) 3 tams and a tomten on: December 27, 2007 04:46:37 PM
Great job on everything! I especially love your tams (and the fact that you used Noro for the colored sections instead of the 2,386 different skeins of yarn called for in the pattern).
