31  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Camper's Swap Gallery on: June 24, 2007 07:08:56 PM
The "ugly" firestarters are made of eco-friendly recycled egg cartons though, aren't they? I bought paper cups for mine because I am evil like that. Also, I would have had to eat like nine eggs to empty the egg carton...
32  Georgia / Georgia: Central / East Point/College Park/Hapesville etc? on: June 20, 2007 07:58:40 AM
Anyone here from the South Side of Atlanta? I live in East Point not far from City Hall and the MARTA station. Represent!
33  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Wild Things mural (a bit photo heavy) on: June 20, 2007 07:48:18 AM
I have to say that I really had to look at this for a few minutes to even believe it. That mural looks considerably better than many I've seen done by professionals.
34  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Camper's Swap Gallery on: June 20, 2007 07:28:27 AM
Just wanted to say that while my husband and I were trying to figure out how to post pictures on the site, he got his first look at craftster. He was really impressed with the stuff people had gotten in the swap. You've all done a really great job.
35  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Camper's Swap Gallery on: June 18, 2007 06:25:21 PM
Here is the fun stuff I got in the swap! The camp pillow is printed with a s'mores print. The cover is removable. I am very happy with it, as on our last camping trip, I tried the old "lumpy sweatshirt wadded under my head" trick and was very sad. Also, I love s'mores!
The group of kids stuff is for my two year old and I to share. She has confiscated the deck of Care Bears cards and refused to reveal its whereabouts at this time. However, she graciously allowed me to photograph the awesome bug lamp and the singalong cd's. The teddy bear is for my backpack but she is keeping it safe for me. She was totally delighted with this swap, let me tell you!

36  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Candy canes are good and cheap on: June 17, 2007 10:38:12 AM
I love the candy cane idea, because it can take the place of dinner mints. And hooboy they are not expensive at all, which is why I decorate my tree with them every year.
37  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: No rice, no rose petals, no nothin' on: June 17, 2007 10:28:08 AM
Yeah, many churches don't allow rice because it can actually be a nasty slip-and-fall hazard on pavement.  I think that the bells sound cute, but if it is too expensive, I doubt your guests will feel let down if they just clap or whatever.  You can always have a musical serenade, too, like a trumpet player. Be aware that if it is windy pigeons and butterflies may not take the flight path you want.
38  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Etiquette on: June 17, 2007 10:25:17 AM
As far as etiquette goes, by the way, there is nothing wrong with wearing a non-white dress, as long as it is not too somber for the occasion. The pattern you picked out seems very dignified and lovely. Thus, anyone who complains about gold or any other festive color is acting like a poo-head.
Thus saith me.
ps you will lose the weight, be patient. Breastfeeding definitely helps.

39  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Suggestions on what to use for Glinda crown on: June 17, 2007 10:11:15 AM
I was looking at pictures of Glinda online and her crown seems to be an opaque silvery thing. I think that something you can just spraypaint solid silver might be good, and you can just concentrate on getting the height of the crown right. Some of the plastic materials sound too heavy to make a crown that tall without it being uncomfortable to wear.
40  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: In need of costume advice... on: June 17, 2007 10:06:06 AM
I think that a good "countess" look might be Elizabeth of Bathory. That would, I think, require an Elizabethan collar, though, which is probably better purchased on ebay or something than made.
