I love Persimon! This has to be one of the favorite stuffies I've seen here in a long time.
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: My Aunt's crochet doilies and odds and end. Amazing. on: January 26, 2008 09:48:13 PM
I have some of my great grandma's crocheted lace and we turned the little flowers/snowflakes into Christmas ornaments.
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Loop d Loop Crochet anyone? on: December 21, 2007 12:20:09 AM
There is some gorgeous stuff in that book, I haven't started anything yet though. If I have time over my winter break, I might start the Marguerite jacket.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: B&W classical patterned mittens + wristwarmers on: November 28, 2007 05:33:10 PM
Those mittens are so cute! I have to ask, did you use dpns, or teeny circulars?
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Green chevron mitts: need your comments! on: November 17, 2007 02:34:28 PM
Ooooh, super cute!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: MItten Tutorial???? on: November 15, 2007 08:44:30 PM
I really like Bev's The Mitts. They're really basic and knit flat and easily modified for fair isle, cables, whatever. Also, to size up just go in fours: CO 4 extra sts, k 4 extra rows (I put the extra rows in right after the ribbing. If you wanted to size down, I would either change needle size or just minus 4 for the cast on and minus 4 rows in hand length.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: 35mm Film Hat (w/ pattern) on: November 15, 2007 08:29:06 PM
That's so cool! You make me want to swallow my fear and try double knitting.

It looks great! I've been meaning to make this, but haven't found the time. Although, seeing the cardigan on a real person (not a model in a professional magazine shoot that is) has inspired to make time to knit this up.

I really like the colors you picked, and I think that's so cool how the yarn played out. I'm easily amused by self striping yarn Cheesy

BTW, what yarn did you use?
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What to do with all this yarn? on: November 14, 2007 07:47:43 PM
Over at Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/knit-picks-gossamer, somebody's making Thermal from Knitty http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTthermal.html with 10 skeins of Knitpicks Gossamer (4400 yards).

I was thinking of making knitty's thermal, but I didn't know if the yarn would work, thank you for the reassurance.
