1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Equestrian swap? on: April 17, 2008 09:41:29 PM
So I know there are multiple people on craftster that own, ride or just plain love horses.  There are so many dimensions to the equine world that could apply to the interests of different people.  I think it would make for a great swap!

Let me know what you think  Grin
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / baby name, decorated leters on: March 20, 2008 05:55:37 PM
I decided to make letters for my friends daughter Aidyn for her baby shower coming up.
Thanks to Frix220 who posted a totally awesome idea!  This is my hand at it. As you can probably tell they're not perfect (a few bubbles here and there) but they were fun to make.
This is her link http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=157033.0

I had to break the name into 2 separate pics to show some detail:

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / I'm so in love with this dress it hurts - need help! on: March 07, 2008 09:04:20 PM
After a ton of searching through standard wedding dresses that just didn't seem to catch my attention, I found this dress...

Unfortunately the talented artist who creates these gowns is in the UK and requires about 3-6 fittings...I live in Chicago.  Her base price for the gowns also runs for 2,200 GBP (about $4,500 USD).

When I first saw this dress I almost teared up I was so excited.  I was hoping there would be a way to recreate this dress, corset and jacket ar if anyone had any ideas to get something similar put together.  Also does anyone know any talented seamstresses in the Chicagoland (or even midwest) who could possibly help me with this project?
