1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Finn's baby booties on: May 15, 2008 08:33:49 AM
Finn is my unborn baby grandson and I am making him a sweater from Bernats 100% organic cotton.  The pattern for these booties were on the yarn so I made them up quickly so his little feet will be warm when he gets here.  I am going to try and get a better picture of them to show the color better and will edit this later, but I had such problems last night trying to post that now that I have it figured out again I am not going to lose the opportunity to post them.  HEHE Grin

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Koala Bear on: May 15, 2008 08:28:20 AM
I made this little koala bear for a girl in Thailand.  I was her angel, probably the only person in the world who can ever say I was an angel!!!   She was really fun to make and is made from Patons 100% wool.  The pattern came from a book called KNIT TOYS which I recieved from the yarnie scavenger hunt swap.  Will be doing more from that book as it was fun and quick.

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cable Scarf on: May 15, 2008 08:14:40 AM

This is a scarf I made for a swap last winter.  My partner never posted pics so I thought I would post it on here.  It was fun to do and is done in wool.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Skully hat and socks. on: March 04, 2008 06:55:07 AM
This is a pic of the Skully hat and socks/slipper socks I made for the FOC secret swap.  I tried to find plain color sock yarn for the socks and finally had to give up and bought some yarn to do the hat.  After I finished that I decided to see what the socks would be like in the heavier yarn.  I wasn't really happy about it but I sent them in the package anyway.  It was fun to do although I am not into skully things.  Not bad for not knitting socks in years.  The picture is with the rest of the package I sent.  I guess I forgot to take one of the socks and hat by themselves.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Shawl on: October 23, 2007 08:33:45 PM
This was one of the freebee patterns from lionheart yarn I picked up in Walmart a couple years ago.  I kept looking at it and saying I could never do it.  It also starts with just a few stitched at the center of the neck and works out to a triangle.  I couldn't believe it would do that.  Once I got started it was really easy.

I made this one with Plymouth Yarn, Encore acrylic and wool blend.
I want to make one in a chunky yarn.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Fetcing fingerless gloves on: October 23, 2007 08:09:15 PM
These are great fingerless gloves.  I got the pattern from Knitty
It was an easy pattern to follow and fun to make.  They are in Patons Shetland Chunky tweed.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Various Scarves on: October 23, 2007 07:55:36 PM
Have some things done that I wanted to post or here are the scarves.

The first is a dark green never  ending scarf in the drop stitch pattern made with Patons Astra sport weight yarn

The second is a really simple pattern made over 15 stitches and made into another never ending scarf.  I really like them when I am working and they don't get in the way yet keeping my neck warm

And last is a pattern that manalinn put on her post a while back and I thank her very much.  Loved working this pattern, it was fun.  I made the scarf on 20 stitiches with Lion Wool Prints in Majestic Mountain.  I also worked it with a double strand and what a wonderful and thick scarf it made.  I used 2 skiens of yarn and just kept going to the end.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Quick fun scarf on: August 15, 2007 09:05:28 PM
Finally finished one of half a dozen projects in the making.  This scarf is easy and fun to knit with double strand of yarn,I used James C. Brett Marble.  Can't find the original pattern not sure where I got it from.
