I made this for my SO a few weeks ago.  Theres a few inaccuracies but he liked it and its my first doll of any sort so I'm proud of it.  Though I did have a hell of a time letting go of it, I guess ill just have to make dog suit Gir for myself ^^

Aw man I'm so sorry I've taken so long to post pics.  Been helping my mom move since school got out and it completely slipped my mind. I'm gonna try to get some pics up tonight.

5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Lotion questions on: May 07, 2008 08:08:52 AM
Lotion is an emulsion of water-based and oil-based ingredients so it will accept either addition, depending on how much you plan to add.  Adding too many "extra" ingredients can break the emulsion and cause it to separate.  The extracts you mention could be either water or oil based, depending on your source.  You also need to be careful about adding things to a lotion that could grow bacteria.  If you are unsure, it is always best to keep it refrigerated and use it within a week or two.  Good luck!
Thank you very much! im only planing on making weekly batches so hopeful it will keep thinks from growing ^^

I'm trying to lighten my skin a bit. I'm already rather pale so I didn't want to use any super expensive super skin mutating creams or what have you so I figured I would do a bit of research and make my own skin lightening concoction.
What I'm going to add to what ever lotion base I choose is:
Lemon juice or extract
Mulberry extract
Phyllanthus emblica extract (if i can find any)
And Niacin

Because lemon juice is water based I'm assuming it wouldn't dissolve in the lotion, which i suppose wouldn't be awful but is there any method of suspending something in the lotion.

Note: This isn't because I loathe my ethnic background or anything. I just feel I need to look more mime/corpse like.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Top Hat Redux on: April 28, 2008 11:56:02 AM
This saterday Im attending a "Kentucky Derby" Party (Aka "we want a cinco de mayo party but dont want to get trashed on a monday" party) and therefore I needed a nice flamboant hat as if I was attending the races.  Not being a fan of straw hats I added some removable modification to my already existing top hat.
