1  Gir! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by kles879 on: June 18, 2008 08:56:19 AM
I made this for my SO a few weeks ago.  Theres a few inaccuracies but he liked it and its my first doll of any sort so I'm proud of it.  Though I did have a hell of a time letting go of it, I guess ill just have to make dog suit Gir for myself ^^

2  Top Hat Redux in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kles879 on: April 28, 2008 11:56:02 AM
This saterday Im attending a "Kentucky Derby" Party (Aka "we want a cinco de mayo party but dont want to get trashed on a monday" party) and therefore I needed a nice flamboant hat as if I was attending the races.  Not being a fan of straw hats I added some removable modification to my already existing top hat.

3  Skirt and bustle-ish thing in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kles879 on: March 02, 2008 09:28:08 PM
Hello!
I finished this last week and have sadly been very antsy about posting it on here.
The longer black skirt was reconstructed from a pair of pants but the green bustle thing was from scratch.  I didn't even draft a pattern anything, just made a couple measurements and went on a cutting.  I'm actually really happy about how it turned out, I've never attempted a ruffle like that before and they turned out beautifully if i do say so myself.

4  Tea Box in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by kles879 on: February 14, 2008 08:51:19 PM
I needed a place to store my tea in my room.  If I'm gonna have something neat and organized it might as well be my leafy beverages.  Its nothing special, I got a balsa wood box and painted it so it didn't look quite as ghetto. I still need to touch it up a bit but yeah.

5  Early 20th Century Jacket in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kles879 on: January 10, 2008 11:43:31 AM
Finaly after exams and Christmas presents I had time to finish this.  Its from butterick pattern number 4954.  It took about two weeks to finish but i was pretty ADD about it.  I had a little trouble with the sleeves and the pleats in the back but overall I think it turned out well.

In the pattern they want you to pull the corners of the front to each side but i cant decide if i like it or not.

6  Apple cider cupcakes in Dessert by kles879 on: January 10, 2008 10:42:00 AM
Of course, out of all the cupcakes I make the one my SO likes most is the most annoying to make.  I do admit these are very good and moist but I'm still looking for the perfect caramel recipe for the top.  The cupcake and frosting come from vegan cupcakes take over the world but the caramel recipe comes from here: http://www.accordingtolayla.com/pdfs/Gingerbread_Cupcakes.pdf

7  Early 20th century flair bottomed skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kles879 on: November 25, 2007 01:24:29 PM
This is from butterick pattern 4954.  It took only about a days worth of work to complete.  I'm very happy with it and super hyped about making the jacket that goes with it ^^  This is the second time I've sewn something from an actual pattern so be nice >.<

This was a project from a sculpture class i took a couple semesters ago.  We created the skulls out of clay first then made a mold of that and created these out of hydrocal.  the white looked pretty boring so i painted it.
