2  Re: TUTORIAL: Singlet Style Shopping Bag (like the plastic shopping bag) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by zombiesare on: August 19, 2007 05:28:04 PM
oh man! this was so fabulously simple! i loved it! i whipped up 2 in less than 3 hours this afternoon...while i was hungover!  Cheesy
the first one i didn't make the pocket cause the outside material is rather bulky.

and the 2nd one. the inside material for this one is actually scrap from a duvet cover i recently bought from ikea...i bought a size too big and then silly me i chucked the receipt. so i had to alter the duvet cover myself, but it left me with a pile of matching fabric! Cheesy

8  Brand new stuff! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by zombiesare on: June 30, 2007 09:53:27 PM
So these are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th things i've ever sewn..the first was the easy peasey tote i posted about 3 days ago..im getting better i think, trying some new stuff here and there. sometimes my stitches are not too straight. kinda looks like i've been sewing while intoxicated..  Cheesy anyways here we go..

Wallet, made from tute on site, sorry i can't seem to locate it this second... matches the tote i made in another thread..

its kinda floppy, i didn't have any interface at the time...

Smaller purse....its cute, the strap is way too wide tho hhaha. live and learn...tan corduroy and pink & white polka dots for the liner. Did my first snap closure too! wee..

And finally, todays project, a tote for work. Made from same material as the above purse, but this is fully reversible. Also has 2 mini pockets for cell phone or iPod of whatever, and interface to help it keep its shape and be sturdy. im pretty proud of this one.. Cheesy:D

Any comments/suggestions are appreciated...im kinda addicted to sewing now tho. its so fun!
