Since my partner is about 2 streets away from me I am just going to bring it to her .. I hope that's ok!

Because no man has a custard colored room, right?   

In our old apartment my craft room somehow turned into a "crash" room (I blame the futon) so I vowed that in our new house, my craft room would be just that .. my craft room!  No dog kennels, no guest beds, no Army gear pouring out of closets.  So after a weekend of unpacking, organizing, and throwing all of the stuff that I listed above into my husbands "room of stuff", I present my craft room!  Hope you like

The closet, which houses my rather pathetic yarn stash, various wips and "I will someday do this" projects, an amigurumi hippo that has needed to be pieced together for almost a year now (oops?), and boxes of pictures that I will go through someday .. maybe

My grandpa was an animator for Disney long long long ago, and he used to make a TON of pictures like this for all the grandkids after he retired.  When my Dad passed away he stopped drawing and painting unfortunately, so this is the last thing he ever made me   It's lovely though isn't it?


Shelving I put up all by myself (er .. sort of) .. top shelf holds various stuffies & ami's, HP related stuff, and my  House Elf and Sorcerer Mickey hat!


Middle shelf holds stenciling stuff (and my Disney pin collection), Bottom shelf holds books, sketchbooks, misc. crap (fabric, stickers, stationary), my Dad's Giants hat (Gooooo Giants!), and a Squirtle in a Pocket Monster's ball my husband gave me when we first started dating <3


My crafting desk (hi Brian!) that will someday hold a sewing machine.  Someday.


My faaaaavorite part of the whole room .. netting lights from IKEA that I very cleverly attached things to that I like looking at.  Cards from my parents & friends, a picture of my Dad, stepmom, & little sisters, and random other things.


Wall next to the desk has 3 shadow box picture frames my best friend Lo made me


Top of my VCR/DVD combo (how ELSE am I going to watch my old BSB videos ) .. sewing kit, jar of pom poms,  harry potter tin full of ribbons/notions/random crap, and mug o' pens/pencils/markers.


My second favorite part of the room .. a martini glass full of buttons & safety eyes.  I just think it looks cool

Hey all, well I am almost done with all my stuff and then I will trek over to my partners house to deliver it .. had to add one more project since I read she was heading to Michigan   Hope everyone else's crafting is going wonderfully!!!

Oh my gosh.  This is my favorite book of all times.  I made my Dad read it to me over and over for literally hours on end.  I truly believe that this book inspired my love of reading and English, no joke.  When my Dad passed away I put a copy of it in his casket with a picture of him reading it to me.  I definitely have to try my hand at making a Grover now, I've never even thought of that!  Thank you so much!!

My crafting is going wonderfully .. I am actually almost done 




I'm Nicole, 26, married to David, 23.  He is Active Duty Army with 1st Cav in Fort Hood, Texas   He is a 25S, Satellite Communications (Signal Corps), which has the longest AIT of any MOS   We met in college, got engaged on our 2 year dating anniversary, 4 days after we got engaged he went and joined the Army (much to my surprise!), and a month after that we got married .. and a month after that he left for Basic Training!    He did Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA, and AIT at Fort Gordon, GA.  Because his AIT was so long I was allowed to move down there with him and after a few months he was allowed to live with me, so it was pretty nice.  Our two best friends from back in college are both in the Army and stationed here as well (well one is playing in the Sandbox currently ), and David's best friend from Basic/AIT is stationed here, so we've been pretty lucky in that respect.  I have my degree in Elementary & Secondary Education with a dual major in English & American Sign Language, and I work full time teaching Pre-K.

Yay Disney! We(Mom and I) go there a lot. I am 24 and it is still awesome. That headband will be a big hit. It's super cute.

We just went in October. Here's something to get you more excited 

Yeah I try to go at least once a year .. my parents take my little sister 3 or 4 times a year.  I'm 26 and I still turn in to a little kid there!

The picture worked, I am so excited!   

I wanted something super easy and thoughtless to do one night while the boys were playing video games, so I made a little lovey blanket for the babies first birthday using some scraps of Peaches & Creme, Caron Simply Soft, & Moda Dee Cheerio I think?

In preparation for an upcoming trip to Disney World for my baby sisters birthday, I have begun crafting anything Disney-related I can find.  Modifying the flower headband in the tutorials list here, I came up with this!
