These are the ornaments I made for our first tree! First ones are made from seed pods




Then I had a few wooden icicle snowmen I had painted and distressed a while ago I put in there too



Then I made this collage to bring some Christmas cheer into our "sun room". Poopie helped pick out which paper should be used where and gave his artistic opinion. I was hoping to get him in the spirit and not so bah humbug-y. All the decorations worked!!

So my amazing BF got me the HP digital camera I wanted for Christmas and the new Dean Koontz book!!! Yay I can post stuff whenever I want and not rely on my cell phone!!! Had to brag a little

So I needed something for our front door for Christmas and couldn't decide what to do. I knew I wanted something that would represent both of us but it couldn't be too ridiculous for Poopie's sake. So I came up with this. It says Merry Christmas in Italian on the top for me and in Gaelic for him.



I painted it in acrylic on basswood and then antiqued it. Took bout 45mins or so after I figured out what I actually wanted to paint! What do ya think?

I bought the newest issue of Country Sampler and found something similar to this and just had to paint it for myself! I stylized the crow a little, added a foot, and antiqued it once I was done. For only a few hours work I'm pretty happy! Sorry it's not the best picture--had to use a cell phone    maybe I can get my dad to agree to let me "borrow" his digi cam!

Well this is my first attempt at posting something that I made. This first one is the third bag I made. I'm going to give it to my Grandmother for Christmas. It's a purple floral print with Olive green trim.

 And I made a flower pin because she is very into nature. I just have to finish the edges and glue it to a pin backing.

 While I was making that one my boyfriend's dad dropped by. He asked me to make one for his fiance as a wedding present. I was really nervous but it turns out she really liked it and is already using it!
It's a very small red and blue floral on a white background. She likes things on the conservative side so I used all the same fabric and put red ric-rac on to brighten it up. I love ric-rac! The lining is just some tan fabric I had. I put in my first zippered pocket ( thanks to the post with the tute!!) and a key fob so her keys won't get lost.
