121  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Giggerota the Wicked costume needs HELP! Lexx costume on: August 06, 2007 08:04:29 PM
you could probably get a mask and attach it to a fabric hoodie of some kind to the back of the costume? Or get crazy and make a paper mache head and kinda squish it while it's still wet so it'll lay flat? As for the belt you could get ribbon and paint the detail on it or sew lines to make it look like the tire tread. You could make a Hi my name is __ tag too just in case people are unsure! Haha! I can't think of anything else. But good luck!

I love maxi dresses!! Can you post a tute on how you figured out your pattern? I'm a novice that grew up watching my mom sew and am now trying my hand at it. However I don't know that I'm ready to draft a pattern yet...so please?  Wink

Oh I really like this! Did you use a pattern? I spent 2 hours at Joann's the other day trying to find a nice top pattern. I didn't have to much luck. Do you think posting  tute in the near future is possible?

130  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: First Skirt On My Own!!! on: July 17, 2007 09:09:16 PM
OMG!!!!  I absolutely love everything about this skirt! The print, the fit, the style! And the red shoes are fabulous! Anyway you'd put up the pattern with a tute? Or explain how you made your own pattern? I'm still a novice with the clothing. My main experience is with embroidery but I'm trying to branch out. At any rate The skirt is beautiful and I hope to see more from you!  Grin
