11  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / black and white cutie on: June 27, 2010 11:04:46 AM
So i had this fabric thats been lying around for AGES... ok maybe not ages but a long time, so i decided it would be a cute dress for my daughter. I basically just made it up as i went along.. thats where the Tulle came in, You cant see the details that great. My daughter would pose for the picture and as soon as it snapped she would turn...lol she is a character. I tried to distract her with the chips.... that didnt work either.

 Hope you likey!
Thanks for looking

12  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My fabulous new bag on: June 27, 2010 10:53:41 AM
Ive been wanting to make myself a new bag for awhile...and yesterday i just sat down and started cutting and sewing. And this is what came about.
It actually came out better than i had anticipated... Its a faux suede and on the bottom i used a sturdy black fabric (so the suede wouldnt get dirty if i set it down anywhere) i didnt take any pics of the inside but inside is a dark blue silky fabric with one big gathered pocket. It so roomy though and im a sucker for a big purse.
It has side pockets on each side and they are gathered so thing wont fall out as easily I.e my phone.. &....keys.It

Thanks for looking!
Hope you Likey.

And absolutely fell  in love... Went to her etsy shop but 40+ bucks... idk about you but i cant really afford that right now. Anywhoo  so i said to myself "Ill just make my own" It took me awhile to figure out how in the heckkk i was going to make it patternwise...but actually making it was a breeze... the hardest part for me was the collar (of all the parts huh lol) Ive never sewed with ribbing so i didnt know to stretch it so my collar was stretched wayyyyy out. but i tried again and it came out right. It took me a few hours but It wouldnt have taken me as long if i didnt have to stop a zillion times to make dinner and change diapers and potty train and play cars lol. But Im actually so excited i got it!!!! Its not exactly the same but i think i did a pretty darn good job! What do you think??

TADA!!!!!

Idk why i was touching my hair lol.. oh excuse the dirty mirror... my daughter smeared her cookies on them lol

They are a little baggy in the front of the crotch but i can fix that!

(Oh and the crotch has snaps)

Thanks for looking hope you likey!!
