The background was a page from the New York Times which I plastered with gel medium. After I let the gel medium dry for about two minutes, I took some mask tape and ripped parts of the paper a little bit, creating a paper-rip detail.
Using recyclables for crafts is the greatest. One day, while I was emptying my recycling basket, I found some amazing colors that inspired me to make this little purse. The clasp was made with some marbles that I hot glued to the project.
