I would like to introduce the world to Stella the starfish...

Stella is a unique starfish, she likes to live indoors and prefers to watch humans do all the crazy things humans do.

Thanks so much thedreamer, I love Stella!  And thanks to honeyd and tracethekat for organizing!

P.S. - Any Super Mario fans out there?  Does anyone else think that Stella resembles someone?!?

Thanks again thedreamer!

2  HELP... Funny family reunion t-shirt sayings!! in Discussion and Questions by saltandpepper on: May 26, 2010 08:25:29 PM
So our big family reunion is coming up and our part of the family tree (there are over twenty-five of us) wore coordinating t-shirts to our last reunion.  This reunion I volunteered to do the t-shirts and got a really good deal on the shirts at Michaels.  Now I am looking for a funny saying to put on the t-shirt.  My brother is going to silkscreen them and needs a saying/design soon.  Any suggestions??  Thanks a bunch!

Everyone prepare to be jealous Wink!  I still do not have my breath back, sweetyetevil's package literally took my breath away!  The first things I opened were these awesome pieces of jewelry:

My favourite are the resin poured ones, I have always, always admired those on Craftster but have never attempted, I love them!
Now for the best part she sent me an amazing t-shirt:

Isn't the sketch absolutely gorgeous!  It is so beautiful, I am so in love with that t-shirt.  And now a picture of everything:

Supplies included new Pipsqueaks (yes!), a chipboard album, fabric crayons (yes, I bought the markers but not the crayons), a note pad and candy!

Thanks so much sweetyetevil!  I absolutely love everything but the t-shirt has to be the most amazing part!

I would like to introduce to everyone... Peking the Duck!

Isn't he so, so sweet!  Dommeenation chose my rubber duck theme and crafted me him and three adorable necklaces so he could arrive in style to Canada.  Right now he likes chilling in my glasses case and will join the rest of my rubber duck collection soon.  I love him and would never be able to craft him myself so thanks dommeenation!  Oh, and does anyone have a guess as to how he arrived?  Of course, in a tiny Chinese takeout box, how else would Peking the Duck arrive?!?

Oh, wow am so amazed by my swap package I received today from RhymeswOrange, wow, absolutely unbelievable.  She picked my theme of Sesame Street, and I am so impressed.

She made me the most fantastic wallet:

Front (I <3 Bert):

Back (I <3 Ernie):

And the inside (C is for Cookie Monster!):

My favorite parts, the detachable cookie and the Cookie Monster change compartment (the change is in his stomach, poor Cookie, only suppose to be eating cookies!):

A quarter!

Am so absolutely amazed and in love with this project.  Now I have to work extra hard to make RhymeswOrange's package extra special!  Will be mailing soon!  Am so excited and in love with my swap package, so amazing!

6  Cue snake charmer music... in CHALLENGE 33 ENTRIES by saltandpepper on: December 03, 2008 05:00:06 PM
Hey Craftsters, this challenge was a great way to jumpstart my Christmas crafting.  I made this for my three year old cousin who love snakes.  He measures 3 feet in length, all stretched out.  He was super easy to make, sort of followed a pattern on Craftbits.com.  Did not cost me anything except for the two buttons plus I used up some leftover yarn.  Super easy and fun to make, but now he has to be wrapped and go under the tree until Christmas Eve!

Happy holidays and happy crafting!

7  Re: The MySpace/Facebook Stalker Swap (Round 2) Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by saltandpepper on: August 22, 2008 02:18:55 PM
I got my amazing package from theEEKinGEEK today.  I was a little worried when it came, the package looked like it had gone through the worst but everything inside was undamaged and perfect!

First here is the bag she made me.  I love it!  It will be perfect for holding my instrument and all my sheet music.  My other bag just broke so it was perfect timing too!

Next is this amazing book.  I have always wanted to make one of these but never got around to it.  She used The Kite Runner which is one of my all time favourite books!  You think it's a book...

But then you open it up...

Ta da!  I love it!  She also left scrabble letters inside that spelt out my name.  Perfect!
And last but not least, this amazing bag of candy that I have practically eaten all of while waiting for my pictures to upload!

Only a stalker knows how much you love sour candy!

Thanks so much theEEKinGEEK!  I love everything!  Thanks everybody for making this such a great first time swapping experience!

8  Necklace/Bracelet Holder in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by saltandpepper on: May 19, 2008 02:38:41 PM
I was so happy with how this turned out and it was so easy that I just had to share.  I needed a necklace holder and after searching here I couldn't really find anything so I decided to get creative.  I had a picture frame covered in cloth and no regular sized picture fit in it so I removed the back and the hardware.  Then I had bought these cute push pins at the dollar store so I pushed some of those into the frame, added a ribbon to hang and viola, the cutest necklace holder I have seen.  Now if only I could find another frame to match... I have already run out of room!  Wink

Close up of cute smiley faces:

Thanks for looking!

9  Boring Black Chair to Musical Madness... in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by saltandpepper on: February 03, 2008 01:24:45 PM
So I had a free Sunday to do nothing and I was looking at my desk chair.  I got one of those cheap ones years ago and had it covered with a slip cover like thing that was my first ever sewing project and it was just not good.  Well I had a bunch of musical note fabric laying around because I bought two meters instead of just one (you know how the story goes...) so I put it to good use.  Anyways....

After:

Close-up of fabric:

Anyways now that I have my musical chair done it means I must go practice my music... dang those craft projects with a purpose!!
Hope you like it and comment please!

10  My "Get Your Butt In Shape and Exercise" Calendar... in CHALLENGE 24 ENTRIES by saltandpepper on: February 01, 2008 10:35:48 PM
Hey, hey, I must say this was one excellent Challenge as I finished ahead of schedule (I was done yesterday, ooh) and it is something I am actually going to use.  So I got a new treadmill just before Christmas and was doing really well running everyday, and then Christmas came, and well, you know.  I was tracking my stats on a nice piece of coloured paper taped to my closet door, so I think this is a must better improvement:

I love it.  I just took a regular cork board and made a grid with ribbon.  All the numbers on the calendar are magazine clippings under those flat marbles.  I hot glued those to push pins so that I could move them around at the end of each month.  I glued stars to push pins too so I get a star when I exercise (any motivation counts).  I can write on the tags the distance and time I ran for each day and there is also a spot to write my record from last month so I am constantly improving.  My Seventeen magazine started putting in really cool quotes every month, so I am going to cut those out and stick them on for even more inspiration.
Close-up of push pins and quote:

I am super excited with how this turned out and I am now going to actually have to start on my New Years Resolution, seeing as I was busy crafting all of January, and know I must fill up my board (however I only have like thirteen star push pins... hmmm... need to find more beads).
Hope you love it and it gives you some inspiration.  Don't forget to vote!
