Everything is so lovely this week!!

I've been spinning for the Tour de Fleece so I have lots of yarn this week:

"Slushie" spun from 2 oz of mystery wool I bought at a local fiber fest. sport weight

Sport weight yarn spun from Falkland wool dyed by chimera.etsy.com in the "Oberon" colorway

a super bulky merino silk blend I dyed with Kool aid

a small worsted weight skein spun from a dyed BFL cross fleece from Homestead Fiber Farm

bulky Falkland 2-ply. roving from FatCatKnits.etsy.com in the "Gremlin" colorway

I love that shade of yellow, puppybreath! I'm quite obsessed with yellow lately.
I've been wanting to make Pioneer for a while. I just need to finish some things up and I should be casting on soon!

I love the yarns this week, especially all the soft-spun singles. I'm jealous!
And Jazzturtle, I LOVE that pink yarn!!

Here's some stuff I've spun lately:

Sheeptime Knits Merino Tencel in the colorway Pewter, roughly sport weight

Cinderella, worsted weight singles spun from my first batt, Romney and firestar

Blaze, worsted to bulky weight from chimera.etsy.com

Keep up the great work, you guys! You never fail to inspire!

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / You Can Call Me Nannerpuss, Nannerpuss on: May 09, 2009 06:04:20 PM
And guess what? I like pancakes!
So I loved Nannerpuss from the Denny's commercials and decided to knit my own after seeing a croched version. Silly, I know.
I finished him a while ago and am just getting around to posting him.

He's loosely based on this pattern. http://kimberlychapman.com/crafts/knit-patterns-banana.html He's knit with acrylic scraps and has a wee felt moustashe. His pancakes are craft felt, too.

Hope you like!

9  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fiber Friday 5/1/09 on: May 01, 2009 08:19:37 AM
Gorgeous stuff, everyone!
Here's my yarn this week. It's Superwash Merino from FatCatKnits on Etsy. It's so soft and drafts easily. It was a dream to spin! I wanted to spin fingering weight for socks but I think it's actually sport. That's okay, because sport weight socks go faster. This is the first skein. I haven't set the twist in the 2nd skein yet.
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: That was a hoot! Heffer Wolfe from Rocko's Modern Life (with pattern) on: April 12, 2009 09:21:28 AM
