1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Pirate Party Invitations on: March 16, 2012 05:47:21 PM
I am currently planning my Bubba's 2nd birthday party, and we're going with a pirate theme. So far a have a few store bought plates and cups put aside, I'll be making a cake later next month a day or two before the big day. I wanted to get a head start on Invites though. Personal information has been blurred, but you can still see the design. I think it's pretty cute.

C&C welcome

Thanks all!

Just finished designing this invite for a friend of mine. The information on it is inaccurate because she hasn't sent me her info yet. CC welcome~!

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Wedding Invitations --> picture Obese!!! No really!!! on: February 03, 2011 04:09:41 PM
My sister and her boyfriend got engaged Christmas day and have set the date for March 2012. I'm trying to help cut costs where we can so I am planning on making their Invitations and Save the Date Cards. This is what I've come up with so far. So here are the Save the Date Cards:

The Wedding invitations are pretty basic, there are only 3 designs so far, though I may play around with more design ideas later. Their wedding colors are Crimson and Black.

and this one is my personal favorite. It has big crimson zinnias on the invite and the direction and rsvp cards. I don't know why, but I just love how it turned out.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / One Size Cloth Diapers! Image Heavy! on: December 13, 2010 11:13:44 AM
My mom and I made cloth diapers for my son after he was born. Hubby and I wanted to do cloth to help save cost, and they turned out great. These are all I've made so far, but I'm getting ready to make 5 more to bump us up from 22-27, because I feel like I'm constantly running out of diapers! They are AI2 One Size Fits All and I got the PUL on Ebay.

Solid White

Colorful: (The one that looks white is actually light green)

5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Yoda I am! My First Halloween it is! *Pic Chuncky* on: November 02, 2010 12:41:38 PM
I wanted to do something cute and memorable for my sons first Halloween. After talking the idea's over with my husband we decided to dress him up as Yoda. Everything is hand made! Everything! The pajama's, the shoe covers, the robe, the hat. Everything is fleece, except the jammies, which are flannel. He was a very cute, very warm little Jedi! On to the pictures!

I made the robe big so he had an authentic Yoda look, and so he can get lots of use out of it!

Made the hat with 2 layers of stiff interfacing in the ears so they wouldn't sag. Though I did make the hat first to be sure I had plenty of time to adjust size just in case:

This is My little man and I out trick or treating!

The full costume! So you can see the shoe covers too!

I was a Storm Trooper, I stenciled and painted a shirt to wear so that I would have a matching "costume". Here's a pic of it just done!

This is the first time I've ever entered a contest so I'm excited to see how we do!

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Haunted Mansion Camera Bag on: March 01, 2010 01:18:44 PM
I saw lianatempera's tutorial for her padded camera bag and I loved it. I knew it was perfect for my brother for his birthday, so I went to spoonflower.com and designed a fabric that lookes like the wallpaper from Disneylands Haunted Mansion. Here's heres the link http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=334944.0 to the tutorial lianatempra made.  I loved making this bag!

8  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Buzz Lightyear vs. Zurg Shoes *pic HEAVY* on: February 10, 2010 05:02:35 PM
So I made these shoes for my 16 year old brother for Christmas, I'm just getting around to posting them now. I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

So The left foot is Buzz Lightyear

The back of the Left foot is the Starfleet Acadamy symbol

The side says BUZZ

The right side is Evil Emperor Zurg.

The back or the right shoe is Zurg's symbol

Here are both shoes together. If you stand with your feet together it looks like Buzz is shooting at Zurg, so that's kind of cool too.

They are hand sketched and painted, and took a few days total to finish. It's all done in fabric paint so that they don't bleed or wash off. It does make the shoes a little stiff but not too bad. C&C are always welcome! I'd love to know what everyone thinks.
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Small World Diaper Bag Set (Image Hearty!) on: January 15, 2010 10:13:53 AM
I made this diaper bag set for a friend of mine who had her first baby in November. She and I are HUGE Disneyland fans and I knew she'd love something unique and Disney themed. So here goes.

This is the Diaper bag itself, I loved the inside it had a very Disneyland Tomorrowland feel to it. The clock face is hand painted on the bag.

Therse are the burp cloths that I made for her, the Zebra is handpainted onto the fabric.

And this is the Changing pad that I made. The inside has a plastic cover so that it's easy to clean in case of mess. The outside is the Loch Ness monster at the begining of the Small World ride. He is also hand painted.

C&C is always welcome. This is my frist diaperbag set, I've never made anything like this before! I hope you all enjoy!
