I'll have to try to get around to this one eventually. I have to many WIPS right now...but hopefully before Christmas. I think it would look smashing in a lavender!

wish i could do this one...but I don't have enough posts up yet. That's my only set back. Oh well maybe next time. Funny that people post about Pee Wee's Big adventure...I always forget that's a Tim Burton film. That's okay though, I know "Francis" his name (real name) is Mark and he goes to church with me, so does his wife and kids. Great family! Anyways, have fun with the swap, I will start posting more so I can get in on the next one!

I would love to make this sweater for my sister. She would wear a small, and I was wondering how many balls of yarn you guys needed. I was thinking wool of the andes (is it itchy?) but I'm afraid she'll forget and throw it in the wash so maybe a superwash would be better? I don't know...

You all don't know how happy you've made me to know that I am not the only one pulling my hair out over this pattern. Frankly I read through it twice before starting and, though I still didn't get it, I thought I would start anyways hoping it would make sense as I went along. So the pictures are SEWN in? I don't remember seeing anything about that in the pattern. What a pain. I think I'll take it apart...I'm only for inches in on the first piece. I can't help but be a little dissapointed...Thanks for the info though guys. You've saved me a LOT of headaches and frusterations!

In the same picture Ginny is wearing a really cute fair ilse sweater (from when their inside the ministry), Ron is in his plaid jumper, and Hermoine is wearing the grey striped sweater. Anyways I hope this is useful to someone. I love the sweater ginny and luna are wearing...I just need to get some supplies and get to it I suppose...

Has anyone seen this sweater? http://michaelthompson.org/phoenix/szluna-lovegood.jpgIs it from the movie also, or is it just from a promotional photo? It looks like the same color as the one she wears in the film, but this one is a cabled sweater. It's pretty yummy if I do say so myself. Grin

Frankly I'm kind of in love with Cho's blue cap with the two-toned diamond (kind of argyl, just one diamond instead of many.) I'd love to make that, I think it's simply fabulous~!
570  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: To Dye For sweater on: June 24, 2007 06:50:58 PM
I'm thinking of trying this sweater using a yarn called Peruvian Tweed. It's Alpaca, and it is in it's natural colors (charcole gray and black). I don't intend on dying it, but I wondered if you all thought that this is a good yarn to use for this sweater?
