i've never been to i heart rummage (the artsycraftsty showcase/sale bonanza at the crocodile) but i'm planning on checking it out this coming up sunday (10/3, noon-4)...was wondering if anyone has been, if it was super cool, if people have had success selling their things, etc etc etc...i've trolled around the web and all, but direct testimonials from fine craftster folks would be super, too.  Grin

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help with Cardigan Shaping, Hip to Knit on: February 11, 2004 10:59:13 AM
I humbly request some help with the front shaping on the "must have" cardigan from the book Hip to Knit.  Here's what it says for the "left front" section to shape the neck:

Shape neck: (wrong side) Bind off at neck edge 6 stitches once, 2 stitches two times, then decrease 1 stitch at neck edge on every other right side row 3 times...[it goes on to explain those decreases, happily...]

Do the directions mean to bind off 6 stitches, finish the row, knit the right side row plain, and then on the next wrong side row, bind off 2 stitches, knit a row, and bind off 2 stitches again?  Otherwise binding off 6, then 2, then 2, means you're binding off 10 in one row???

Sorry for the long post, I wanted to be clear.  If anyone has made this cardigan or understands what is going on, fire away, my lovely crafters!  Thankyouuuuuu!

xo,
