5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What to do with this huge mirror? on: October 15, 2006 07:43:30 PM
i saw once on a craft show(years ago..)  where they took a mirror and used steel wool to remove the silver from the back of the mirror in certain spots... this left them with a clear spot on the glass.. which they then glued pics onto ... it looked really neat.. with the mirror kinda fading away into a picture... and then they painted stuff on the front of the mirror.. it was really neat-o.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: the melted bead bowl on: October 04, 2006 02:58:16 PM
wow.. I tired melting me some beads.. just any old plastic bead that I could find in my "jun box"...  I placed them in a design and hoped for the best... OMG, THE SMELL!  it was soo stinky, even my dogs had headaches I think..  I like the idea though, and I wish that I could tollerate it better(or had an outdoor oven!??)  oh well..

p.s.  I find that plastic beads with letters on them, melt really niftily.
