I know that everyone else has posted their versions of knitty's fetching on here, but i'm soo pleased that I have to share. this was the first time I have knitted anything on dpns and my first attempt at cables. I have to say i was expecting a disaster, and I ended up with something i'll actually use !!

thanks everyone !  I definately like the idea of adding some form of elastic to make it more functional, It probably will make a good beret after that

thanks for the nice comments everyone !  I used Patagonia nature cotton? I think it's called, and the pattern was one made up by the yarn shop I bought it from, they have a binder full of free patterns.
