has been a NIGHTMARE! everything that could go wrong has. I got the supplies 3 years ago, at the time I was told it was an easy project, which , in fact it is, but I was still at the point where I was having to count my stitches every row, and my tension was a mess. Plus I'd never used a pattern. so over the years I've picked it up now and again and enevitably something goes horribly horribly wrong, I FINALLY finished it! and guess what? it's way way to big, of course. But it's finished, and it's the first thing I have ever knit from a pattern, and the the first thing I have ever made that's not a scarf. so despite that fact that it is big, and frankly ugly ( it's meant to be more of a beanie type shape, not worn as a beret as I am having to do) I shall share.
I think were I to do it again, I would do all one colour, and obviously make it smaller. it would probably only take like an hour or so, now that I have figured it out. we shall see.
