2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Ultimate Papercrafting Toolbox on: June 04, 2008 12:49:20 PM
Hey all!  So I am working on the DIY swap right now.  For those unfamilliar with the swap, you make a kit for your partner to use/make new things for, i.e. my partner is making and supplying me with basic supplies to make a quilt block and the tools to carry on quilting.  Well, I am making a paper crafting kit.  I've been scrapbooking and card making for a long time, so I sometimes forget the supplies I use.  Here's the list so far, and I would appreciate it if you would let me know if there's things you use that I forgot Smiley  Thanks!

List:
paper
glue stick
Modge Podge
ruler
x-acto knife
playing cards (for atcs)
altoid tins
buttons
ribbon
xron sticker maker (LOVE!)
old game pieces (scrabble, sorry, etc.)
bone folder
old mags (so many possibilities)
children's picture books
colored pencils
glitter
pencil
eraser
double sided tape

What am I missing?
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / John Candy Swap on: May 08, 2008 07:36:14 AM
So I was going through my dvd collection, and I noticed I had a huge collection of John Candy movies...so what about a John Candy themed swap?  Here is a link to IMBD for a list of his film credits:  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001006/

I wouldn't be able to host until middle-end of June, though Sad
4  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Fluffy Cuff Mittens on: June 25, 2007 04:49:43 AM
I finished the fluffy cuff mittens, and they were really easy/fun to make!
Here's a picture

These were my modifications:
Needle size: Size 8 dpn
Cuff Yarn: Rowan Soft Baby (50% Wool 30% Polymide 20% Cotton) Color#516715
Main Mitten Yarn: Nashua (75% Wool 25% Alpaca) Color#CFW2055(Carmin)
Yarn was double stranded throughout

It only took me two and half days to finish.  It's a nice quick project, and my favorite part was the cuffs Smiley

Kind criticism is welcomed and appreciated.  Smiley  Thanks for looking! Smiley
