What a great idea!  My boys (5 and almost 3) are going to flip over having their very own Mario stars!  Thanks!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Changing color in rib pattern...HELP! on: November 26, 2007 05:39:11 PM
If by funky you mean the purl bumps are the previous color, you can just knit across the row (on the RS) with the new color and then resume K2P2.

My MIL noticed I was knitting the rainbow socks (not necessarily the wicked awesome pattern) and said, "What you're knitting some more socks?".  I just laughed it off.  Clearly, she's a non-knitter that has never worn hand knitted socks!

I had just enough also with my skeins of Panda Cotton when I knit the pattern.  I'd contact the manufacturer.

There is a knitted elephant toy pattern in "Last Minute Knitted Gifts".  You could check to see if your local library carries it.

pmack17, Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!  I realized that I didn't have the end of the row marked, so I was ending up with just a total of 4 unworked sts not 8.

Another quick question....

How do I avoid a hole inbetween the two unworked sts?
10  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Magknits Rainbow Socks KAL on: October 24, 2007 12:18:42 PM
I'm having a bit of trouble with the last few pattern rows.  I've increased my total stitch count to 68 - just FYI.  I've completed a RS row and have 4 unworked stitches on the left hand needle.  What do I do next?  I really need some step by step instructions. Huh

I tried to do what I thought the pattern was saying, but after complete the second triangle, I'm not back to stitch number 1.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
