1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Senior Dodgeball Game: Ken and the Barbies! on: June 04, 2009 03:24:14 PM

Sorry guys I guess you have to click them to make them bigger...

The first is the back of the shirts we made, our "names" on the back were all sexually suggestive names.
(From left to right): Mila Dick, Jack Mihaf, Miso Whet, Ilika Ruf (ME), Ida Hoe, and Ben Dover

The front had our team name spelt across all of us, "Ken &the B A R B I E S!

AND the last, just for fun. even though i look retardeddd.  It was alot of fun :]

I got my shoes from Bakers Shoes, bakersshoes.com
They absolutely killed my feet, being 6 inches high. But well worth it, beauty is pain right? ;]
(Fact: I was 6'5 on Prom Night.)

Yes, her dress is Betsey Johnson. We are Betsey fanatics.
Thank you all again :]

It was an amazing night, we went to see LOVE the beatles experience of Cirque Du Soleil, met up with the red bull car and fully stocked it with red bulls, did the las vegas sign and got a Suite at Mandalay Bay.

Sidenote, about the shoes.
I'm 5'11 without heels.
Having Big T as my date was the first opportunity I've had (unless I went stag), to wear heels to a dance. So I went all out. 4 1/2 inch heels.

That would make me 6'3 and a half on homecoming. Tyler is 6'5. Lucky me.

I LOVE bleach stuff. it's so much fun, thanks for posting, I never really though of SPRAYING the bleach on the fabric, i usually just splatter it here and there.  but that is such a good idea! fantastic job!

i looked for a more detailed picture, but unfortunately i dont have any. ill see about taking one with detail.

as for a tut, i can give you the idea, but an actual tut...im horrible at explaining things.

I started with a big rectangle in the plain red fabric, and just darted the top untill it fit around the under of my bust.

then i got another rectangle for the bust , darted that on each cup, and 2 darts  in the back just to make it smaller.

i sewed the 2 pieces together and did an "invisible zipper" down the back.

the "lady bug wings" are somewhere between a half circle, and moon shape.

it snaps all around, because sewing it directly on wouldve caused problems with the back zipper.

the 2 corners of the "wings" overlap slightly and snap together as well.

i painted the snaps red so that if the bow got in the way or the wings were unsnapping, i could take it off and the dress would be fine without them.

finish the edges, add a bow and voila!!!

this dress is so versatile. changing the bow creates a new dress, unsnapping the wings...new dress, unsnapping the wings, and adding a new bow...its almost unrecognizable.

JanxX ...where did you graduate from?

thank you all for all your beautiful comments, i've missed craftster for this very reason Cheesy
