What a way to recycle a hair tie! MUST STEAL IDEA! I think I have some of those leftover from my 2, lol! I don't think I have any that big, but I love the idea! Great purse too, by the way, hehe, gotta love working on a project with "helpers"
I love the clothe bags! I have one just, well, close to your top pic! I knew a quilter AGES ago and she gave me a boatload of her scraps, well, within 10 years I had gone threw them all and I had some left, so while I was pregnant 5 years ago, I made a little bag like that. I just put a "hem" on it this year, and plan on adding some velcro to close it. I'm proud! You should be too!
That's good to hear! Sorry about your black widow's, but best to leave them be! LOL. I can't currently where I am, I'm renting an apartment, but I love lotus flowers, and their history! If we can ever get around to owning our own ground, I may just make a pond!
How do you slice them? I thought she just might have somehow glued with a poxy glue LOL. I'm curious now!! I've got a pants bag I made from my 4y/os size 3 pants that would be great with a handle like that! (But not as thick!)
What's wrong with hand-sewing? I took an old pair of pants that my youngest out-grew and made into a little bag, I still need to get some velcro and make a handle, but will be hand-sewing it all (I don't have a sewing machine, haven't for a few years.) I'm also hand-sewing some quilt blocks for a queen size quilt (will definitely take about a year to complete, but hey, its hand-sewn!)
Yes, must post semi tut on the soda can tabs chain!! Me and wonderful DH drink LOTSA soda, so I'd have plenty tabs to make lots of chains! Unless she somehow glued, or welded the tabs, I don't think it'd ruin them, but very great recycling idea too!
Craftycdeb, I LOVE your garden!! MY question is, with your pond, do you have a mesqueeto problem?? My sister had a little pond, maybe 3X3, and she was infested with the darned stinging bugs!! I couldn't go over, they love to nibble one me, until it got cool outside. I love home-made ponds, but that's my main concern, the squeeto's! I did know one couple who had a pond a bit bigger then yours, they had a little bridge to go over it and everything, I didn't see many of the buggers, but I did see a snake once, and a couple frogs too. Just was curious! (Love the idea's of the lotus'!)
