3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / lotsa thread crochet (pic heavy) on: March 10, 2008 01:37:55 PM
so i bought a ball of thread for the bargain swap i was in, to make a headband my partner had wisted and needless to say i had no idea how much i could make w/ the thread. i just kept going and going and still had a few small balls left over. unfortunately i don't have a pic of the headband but i do have one of everything else. also sorry about the distorted pics, i don't know whats goin on w/ that.

ok here's an action shot of the headband.

the pattern came from yelley's blog Smiley thanx yelley!
thanks for looking!

sorry the pics aren't the best. i have a lot of trouble photographing small things  Undecided

5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / my first stencilled project woohoo! on: February 26, 2008 08:56:34 PM
i stencilled this for the magic yarn ball swap. she said she liked guitars so i found this on stencilery.com although, i think i found out later, this is related to flight of the conchords? i think i saw it on a shirt w/ the title underneath...anyway s i still think its cool. oh and canvas is hard to stencil on! w/ the texture of it the paint tends to like to bleed. so there's little bits here and there but i think for the first time i did ok and she liked it and thats what matters!

thanx for takin a peek! Smiley

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Oct, Nov, Dec. FO's-(pic overload) on: January 31, 2008 02:45:50 PM
i'm quite late in posting these but now is better than never right? i know someone famous somewhere said that. lol i'm such a dork Smiley anyways here we go...

i made matching booties and a hat for my insurance ladies newborn granddaughter

i made an earflap hat for my daughter using yarn i handpainted and the deb stoller pattern

then i made one for my nephew for xmas-i believe i left a row off of each hat and they'll still fit them next year.

i also made a matching hat and scarf for my b/f but have been too lazy to weave in the ends of the scarf so no pics of that yet. maybe i'll have it done by spring Smiley

i made my b/fs grandma some coasters for xmas b/c when we went to visit her i saw hers were falling apart and i had the perfect yarn for them. they match her living room perfectly!

i made my daughter this adorable poncho, which i still have to sew a button on for the closure at the neck.

here's a close up of the design along the bottom

and an action shot! (i put it over the clothes she already had on Smiley)

and lastly, i made this ski mask for my FIL who had sinus cancer and now can't go out in the cold w/o a mask. he used to wear those industial dust masks but i figured this looks nicer and keeps him warm besides. although it does kinda look like a ninja mask i think lol oh and thats the martha stewart coming home poncho my MIL crocheted me a couple years ago for xmas.

thanks for looking!

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / crochet hook book on: January 30, 2008 10:36:51 AM
soooo i'm finally posting my crochet hook book. (it was done sometime in late november...) i made 3 to match the knitting needle rolls i made (check out the knitting needle/crochet hook roll along if interested) but wrapped them up for xmas before i remembered to take pics. doh! this one however i made for a friend an hr and a half away so i didn't end up wrapping it with all the other family gifts. anywho, this is my own design. i just measured the height of the hooks basically, doubled it, and added an inch or so and then for the smaller hooks, made a .5 inch pocket and the larger ones a 1 inch pocket. the only problem is it doesn't fit sizes m, n or p. i think it just barely fits l. i didn't realize as the sizes got larger, the hooks got taller. so thats something i'd change for my next one. and without ANY further ado...

the whole thing

the back

close-up of the fabric- i loved the fabric so much i bought a couple yards to make a skirt! Smiley

action shot!

hope ya like! thanx for looking!
