1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / So I blame Barnes and Noble....(Amigurumi Question) on: April 30, 2008 08:25:42 AM
It started at harmless at first, I happened to be browsing the craft section for beading and jewelry making books and I happen to pick up a book called Amigurumi World and was suddenly struck by Japanese inspired cuteness overload. I didn't buy it since I didn't know how to crochet...at all.

So I went home and started to learn how to crochet from a friend. I can do chains and SC so far and they look half way decent now.

So I'm wondering, how hard are making amigurumi? Can a beginner do it?
2  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Another Crazy person... on: July 04, 2007 05:34:29 AM
Hey, I'm Tabitha, just another lurker who finally did the polite thing and thought to introduce herself. I do a bit of jewelry and clay work so I'll hopefully get to post some of my work soon. I'm a 24 year old currently slumping around Okinawa, Japan but normally live in Virginia, where I pretend to be an adult with a full time job in between bursts of craftiness.
