5  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Tudor clothing- rather picture obese on: July 01, 2013 05:54:12 AM
As a reenactor, I really appreciate all the hard work and thought you put into your garb. You look good, too!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Spiritual Necklace in Copper on: June 28, 2013 12:34:48 PM

This piece is made from copper and steel rings for the chain, a thick piece of copper wire from the hardware store which I shaped and hammered, and an assortment of interchangeable charms and pendants, each with a special meaning to me. For instance, the arrowhead was found by my grandfather. I also made the hook and eye closure.
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: TARDIS (Doctor Who) Bag! on: December 28, 2012 09:20:48 AM
Love it! The star lining looks good with the outer TARDIS fabric.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: First Afghan - Cushy Cables on: December 26, 2012 05:53:49 PM
Thanks! Yes, it's knitted in one piece. It was fine in the fall to knit with it on my lap, but I wouldn't want to try it in summer.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First Afghan - Cushy Cables on: December 26, 2012 03:11:02 PM

This is my first afghan, and my 3rd project using cables. Don't be scaredof cables! They're not so bad! I used a pattern called "Cushy Cables" by Patons which I found on Ravelry. It took the better part of 3 1-pound skeins of Caron in color Ocean. Overall size is about 4' x 5'.

I gave it to Mom for Christmas.  Grin
