my best friend in the whole world is having a baby at the end of december and i wanted to make something special for her and the new baby so i made her a quilt and i appliqued her name on it! i used Anna Maria Horner's Chocolate lollipop fabric squares! its a simple pattern but i think its still really cute. i used decorative stitches on the seams! so here it is!

i really would like to use cute little rivets as embellishments on some purses. does anyone know if you can use some of the ones scrapbookers use on their pages. they are set the same way and just as decor on purses i would think they would be ok? let me know if anyone has ever used these on other stuff or if you think it would work! thanks so much for any and all opinions!

i attended my first craft show this weekend and i must admit it didnt go so well! i was very discouraged after and i worked my butt off but here is what went down! my friend and i rented a booth together and she makes jewelry and i make purses, quilts and such! the whole so called "craft show" was really just jewelry and more jewelry and apparently thats what everyone wanted! i want to show you some of the purses that i had and tell me what you think i need some encouragement and reassurment to see if it was just me or not! also i never know what to price my stuff and i was wondering what you all usually would sell these type purses for? thanks for listening to me rant! i am not sure if im going to go to another one or not but it may have just been the type venue it was? i dont know anyways here are the pics!

hi everyone! i am recently getting ready for an upcoming craft fair in lebanon tn, so being the craftster that i am i decided i wanted some cute display so i can hang all my stuff on it instead of just piling it all on a table! my dad has a woodshop and he has tons of scrap wood laying around so i just helped myself to it . well my boyfriend actually made them but i did paint them. (something about me+staplegun = injury of some sort) but about half way through making them we decided they looked like flowers and i was even more excited!!! i call my "business" Fuzzy Bee Creations so the overall theme was PERFECT. but anyways here they are!!!!

So i've been wanting to make a rag quilt for some time now and i actually have my "x" blocks already sewn but i havent put them together yet, but that's beside the point. so can you use cotton print fabrics for a rag quilt too? the only reason i ask is that wouldnt the raw edges fray after you washed the quilt? because i kno when i wash a cotton fabric before sewing after i wash it all the edges have strings and all that crap...lol...so i was just wondering is there anything special you have to do to the edges if i used cotton? thanks for any and all advice!

Hi everyone! This is a quilt top that has been finished for a few months now....and NOT FINISHED (grrr...)I love the way it has turned out so far! The colors are so bright the pictures really dont do it justice.I love the contrast of any bright color with black and white. Anyways it is my own creation as far as i know lol... I just appliqued the x's,o's,hearts,and the word love in the middle onto random blocks i pieced together.

ok my latest obsession in rick rack and all its cuteness!!! i saw this apron pattern and i cant remember what it is off the bat but the question i have is....how do you sew the rick rack right at the edge to wear half of the rick rack peaks over right at the edge...does that make any sense??? it's probably pretty simple i suppose but i tend to make things harder than what they are...thanks everyone!

my boyfriend and i just got a new burgundy sectional and i want to add a lil color to our room that is something besides the usual neutrals you usually see w/ burgundy! so i need your opinions on telling me what bold color do you think would look good with burgundy! any and all suggestions welcome and greatly appreciated..we just want something different! thanks again!

as annoying i think darts are i need to know if anyone knows how to measure or make your own darts without using a pattern? here is my idea....i am wanting to make a shirt using 2 fat quarters as the part below the bodice and i want it to be fitted instead of just being gathered and attached to the bodice....thats the best way i can explain it so if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!

yeah yeah i know i just made another brickwork quilt but they are so colorful and so fast to make and they always turn out so nice! so anyways i made this one for my grandparents! my grammy rocks and is so crafty and i wanted to let her know at least one of her grandaughters got her craftyness so here it is! the colors remind me of candy! yum yum!



and here is a pic of the backing i used! oh yeah and i just serged the edges w/ some matching threads that i thought looked cool!
