hi. thanks for your kind words.  i am sure that someone in the apartment complex behind me saw me taking pictures and decided it would be pretty to give to someone.
i thought about blowing the first and last photos up to a 9 1/2 x 11 inch size and putting them in a nice frame above my bed.
and making a journal with the photo is a lovely idea. and i plan on doing that as soon as i have the supplies Smiley

Hi. I found this pattern in a vintage kids craft book (don't have any idea which one though).  It was super easy to make.  The frog holds my sewing pins and the flower holds a pen or pencil.  You can see the photo here:

466  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Turtles and Turkeys and Birds- Oh My on: July 11, 2007 08:19:26 PM
ok, i have no artistic ability whatsoever.

LIES.

these are super cute. I love that you've been drawing them forever, haha. that makes them unique and all the more fun to look at.
The last one though, I wish it was on a pale yellow ground, or some light color. White is so boring!

actually the last one is on a light blue wash but the camera didn't pick it up so well.  i chose light blue so it would look like the sky Smiley

ok, i have no artistic ability whatsoever.  Regardless, I love to paint.  These are my first attempts at painting (which incidentally I learned that everything I draw comes out cartoony but that is okay with me).
The fist one is of a Turtle I have been doodling since I was a kid.  And what turtle is complete without a flower in his hat?

The second one is of a retro-colored Turkey which I have also been dodling since I was a kid.  He is made by drawing the number 3 and adding some appendages.

The last one is of a vintage cross stitch pannel i saw in some craft book (I cant recall the name now).  I sat down, stared at it and since I have no idea how to cross-stitch, I drew my interpritation of the picture.

468  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / My Hope Rose on: July 11, 2007 07:27:18 PM
Hi. Long story short- I got ill.  So did our backyard.  There was this rose bush that grew up from nothing, literally- and bloomed the most beautiful flower I have ever seen.  I called it my hope rose because this flower grew in sand.  I have no idea how it grew.  It never got watered, as a matter of fact- i thought it was a weed at first.  Anywho- someone stole my "hope rose" the very same night I took these photos of it  Cry

469  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Recycled Button Earrings on: July 11, 2007 07:07:27 PM
Hi.  I made these earrings from recycled buttons I had lying around.  I loved the design and am making a matching necklace.  The photo can be found here:

470  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / First Attempt at Clay Earrings on: July 11, 2007 06:57:37 PM
hi. I made my first attempt at making jewlery and also it was my first time ever using poly clay.  I really like the mod/retro thing so I used browns and oranges.  I like how they turned out.  I usually can't get the earrings I find at stores like Target, etc because I can only wear silver or I turn green.  So I got a pack of silver earring french loops and made some of my own stuff I can wear.  Here's the link to the photo of them:
