32  A super humungous bunch of recycled make up bags- pic giganormous! no, really! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by amor_fati on: January 11, 2009 07:18:08 PM
Okay, I have a touch of ocd so when I make something, I seem to have issues stopping.  Case in point, my make-up bags:

They are all made from recycled materials and vintage patches and lace.  The inside is lined with felt.
I hope you enjoy them Smiley And I hope your computer didn't crash because of all the photos  Huh

33  Plaster Mushroom Wall Hanging Tile in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by amor_fati on: January 11, 2009 03:38:25 PM
I have been experimenting with plaster.  I found it to be quite strong (contrary to what I'd previously heard).
I have a thing for the 60's and 70's style, hence the colors of the mushrooms Wink

35  Re: Fill-A-Box Round 8 - THE EPIC GALLERY! (USA Flat-Rate Box, Sendouts by 8/23) in The Swap Gallery by amor_fati on: August 21, 2008 02:19:12 PM
Here's my spectacular package from athena!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much, you rock!

My package arrived pregnant and ready to give birth...

I couldn't wait to open the box and see the goodness inside.  With cardboard and tape flying into the air, I ripped open that package with a grin from ear to ear...

The first thing i see, is paint! Woohoo!  Now keep in mind, my idea of painting is making a stick figure wearing a little top hat.  That's about as artistic as it gets for me using paint.  Regardless, I love to paint Smiley

Next I find freaking art supplies!  I love love pens and pencils and stuff!  I got a complete set of Zig pens!

Further down into the box of goodness I found...

Yarn and Trim that is completely rad.  I will use it to make a tanktop for me.  (I cannot stand shirts with sleeves in them.  Don't ask me why, I have no idea).

As I stick my arm deeper in, I feel what seems to be some sort of tumorous mass.  To my surprise, it's a huge bag of oil paints!

And a color wheel (which I desperately needed but have no idea how to use yet) to boot.

Next I come to the most beautiful awsome buttons known to man or woman.

(For the record, I have already made one into a ring and the other into a pin).

At this point, I'm starting to wonder if this box has an opening to a black hole where there is no end.  I mean, the box keeps going and going but is still full.  It defies matter.  My next handfull unearths this...

Feathers!  (I make plushies so this will be excellent for the hair and tail feathers).

At this point, I am over stimulated and can no longer subtly open the gift.  As my boyfriend's eyes gaze upon the tv, I pick up said gift, and flip it upside down as the mounds and mounds of fabric fall to the floor.  I can see out the corner of my eye that my boyfriend is staring at me with a concerned look as I hop off my chair onto the ground and start laying each fabric piece out in a circle around me.

Seriously, there was so much spectacular fabric in this box, I honestly have no idea how it all fit.

With complete exhaustion, and a sweat bead running down my left cheek, I have finally come to an end of this exciting journey.  I honestly have no earthly idea how athena fit all those goodies into one box.  I strongly suspect her to be able to manipulate space and matter though.

Thank you so so much athena.  I love it all!

39  Polymer Clay Cameo Necklaces- IMG GIGANORMOUS in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by amor_fati on: April 19, 2008 10:04:27 AM
Hi, I wasn't sure if I should post here or in the jewelry section?
Anyway, these are some poly clay cameo necklaces I made yesterday.  I am currently experimenting with different finishes to each one.
They are hand shaped, and sanded and thus- look quite imperfect.  I wish I was more skilled so they would look perfectly round and even  Undecided

Thanks for looking.  Suggestions and helpful hints are always a plus Smiley
