1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Vertical stitch hat w/ flower on: November 30, 2009 05:51:49 PM
Oh my gosh, I love this! I'm kinda a crochet newb though... how'd you do the flower?
2  Texas / Texas: North Central / Re: McKinney/Allen meetup? on: November 20, 2009 09:25:54 PM
I'm in Plano and would love to have a crafty get together! As for location... I have no idea, but I have a car and could get anywhere reasonable. Maybe a coffee shop? Just somewhere comfy to craft and chat.
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: WoW Beanies on: November 20, 2009 09:21:25 PM
I want the alliance one. And come on people, we're not even in the game right now... Just because you can't control yourselves and respect one another on the game, I'd figure we could in the crafting community. I'd say A+ on the hats, but D on the attitudes.  Sad

I didn't see any disrespectful comments... it's natural for players to show their faction pride (in a nice way here!). Though I agree with your second post, there's nothing more frustrating than being camped by some <insert not so nice name here> with too much time on their hands while you're just trying to quest! I played on a PVP server for four years (I've played since just a few months after WoW launched) and just switched to an RP server a few months ago, and let me tell you, it makes the leveling process -much- more enjoyable. I highly recommend leaving a PVP server for a PVE/RP server if you're not a world PVP liker. It really makes all the difference.

I love these hats! *Plans one for Paladin fiance for christmas....*

Cheesy Thanks Cass, I loved everything! I hope you get my package soon and like it at least half as much as I liked yours ^^

Thanks so much!

I'm pretty sure the fabric is Heidi Grace (From Joann's). I love her adorable designs!

I made this bag as a learning experience to make my swap partner a less sloppy bag, and I love it!

The outside:

Zippy pocket:

Other pockets:

I made it using this tutorial. The little bird embroidery pattern is from Andrea Zuill's blog.

Constructive criticism is much appreciated! This was my first time ever sewing from a pattern.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Rainbow Patchwork Skirt on: March 21, 2009 01:36:32 AM
This is absolutely gorgeous! I'm going to go with everyone else and say the haters just don't know wtf they're talking about. If I had this skirt I'd wear it until it fell apart from so much use >.>
