| Brief Bio, News in Your Life, etc: | I've been crafting most of my life. Or at least it seems that way.
I learned to sew by watching my mother, grandmother, and aunt.
I also learned to cook and bake at my mother and grandmother's elbows. My poor aunt is a terrible cook but she can bake like a pro.
My mom taught me the basic single stitch in crochet and I've taught myself a few others.
I taught myself embroidery using an old Reader's Digest book.
My boyfriend, who I've been seeing since late 2009, does a bit of sewing, though his is mostly utilitarian. He made a quilt when he was in the Army and offered to teach me but I told him I'd teach myself (eventually) since he is a full-time student. I want to see the quilt but he forgets to take pictures of it when he goes home to visit.
My dad and sister started calling me "Darylina" due to my obsession with TWD, especially Daryl(I'm also obsessed with Michonne but they think it's funnier to call me "Darylina"). My sister is "Merla" for the same reason. My dad and I often discuss our plans for the zombie apocalypse while my mom and sister roll their eyes at us. |

Dislikes, Pet Peeves, Allergies, etc:
I despise pastels, otherwise, I'm not overly picky. I'm allergic to dust, pollen, and mildly allergic to cats. The only gummi candy I can't stand are Swedish Fish.
