I did some fabric swaps a few years ago and I really enjoyed amassing some new scraps for my stash. Id really like to do another. I looked around but didnt see anything I liked. The closest thing was a two year old discussion on one for
fabric for i-spy quilts

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=250815.0 This charm square swap was fun.

It could be very structured like that one or maybe we could work with kind of a wishlist. An example would be someone who is looking for postage stamp squares or someone whose project is mostly greens and blues. Im working on a few sewing projects right now (ok, like 20) but one is a Dresden plate quilt so I could use skinnier longer strips.

Is this an exciting possibility to anyone else?

PS I haven't been frequenting the boards these days so if I'm missing something or whatever, point me in the right direction.

PPS Ideally this would be for cotton fabric only.

9  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: how should I quilt this, using only a regular short arm sewing machine on: August 07, 2014 04:53:19 AM
I think I'd out line all the blocks but maybe do an extra square inside the bigger squares, maybe 2 or so inches in from the 1st.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm not totally sure how well that would work on a machine quilted quilt. Through I imagine it would be no different than any other pattern.
Here's one of mine where I did that in the large blocks with hand quilting (sorry it's a little hard to see):

I always keep mine in a garbage bag (usually a regular sized one because most mine are baby or lap quilts) but I keep them rolled up instead of folded.
