My son is 5 and obsessed with Star Wars so I decided to make something one of a kind and unique for the "Star Wars room" that he wants to have his bedroom be.

Unlit:

Made with luan and strapping and LED christmas lights.  Basically I used a projector to trace the letters on to the luan which I then painted.  I drilled holes for the little lights.  I tried to keep it kind of vintage looking and not too polished.  Can't wait to hang it in his room!

I actually completed this two years ago and I'm finally getting around to sharing it.  This is my insane Christmas Vacation themed circle skirt that I made to wear for the holiday season every year.  I basically made a simple circle skirt out of linen so I could embellish it.  The images are linocut prints and the quote is embroidered.  It took almost as much time as putting up 25,000 imported Italian twinkle lights.

This is the quote I used, with some slight editing to fit nicely around the diameter of the skirt:
"Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny f*cking Kaye."
