Similarly to many of you, it was a fascination with animals and nature that got me interested in science. I remember being really amazed by the periodic table - the idea that everything is made out of a combination of that - wow!
I have two science confessions... Firstly I've never dissected anything. I opted out at school & uni, and I even worked at my old school one summer from uni as a science tech and refused to order the bulls eyes for the students! (I was a very opinionated vegan at the time!). And secondly, I really struggle with physics, I'm not quite sure why, but my brain finds some of the concepts really quite difficult. This does mean that the month in my career that I spent working with technetium isotopes to be the SCARIEST in my life! I really should have paid more attention in school!
