1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Miniature polymer clay cake tutorial link - finally! :) on: April 15, 2007 02:46:23 AM
A few months ago I promised some of you to make a miniature polymer clay cake tutorial. Well, I finally had the energy to make it - check it out at

I really hope you like it... crafting the cakes + photographing the process + writing the tutorial took me around five hours Tongue

Close-up detail of the previous necklace.

So, what do you think?
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Four gemstone/silver rings on: November 19, 2006 10:31:03 AM
I did these a while ago. Not a very original idea to have four pieces of similar jewelry in different colours and them name them after the four seasons but hey, it just happened to go that way. Can't win always. Anyhoo, I love the rings themselves! What do you think? :)

Winter: freshwater pearls, flower jade, fluorite, iolite, amethyst, tourmalines, sterling silver

Spring: freshwater pearls, green garnet, tourmalines, peridots, sterling silver

Summer: freshwater pearls, amethyst, garnet, tourmalines, sterling silver

Autumn: freshwater pearls, carnelian, citrine, tourmalines, sterling silver
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Meet Esmeralda, a gothic doll. on: November 19, 2006 09:45:17 AM
Esmeralda is the first cloth doll that I've made. I made her last summer, just to test how dolls like this are fabricated.

I'm pretty happy with her pose, her balance and her expression, but I certainly could have done the stitching more neatly. Plus her clothes _suck_, except for the stripey socks - making the doll itself took me so much time I was totally starting to lose interest by the time I got to her clothes. My attention span isn't exactly the longest there is!

Anyway, here are some photos. (They're a bit crappy, the light in my living room just went out and I didn't have any proper light to shoot by the pics by :F )

5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Miniature cakes & sushi :) on: November 18, 2006 10:40:13 PM
Update 15/04/07: The cake tutorial I promised to make is FINALLY up! Check it out at http://minagi.hybridi.net/minagi/crafts/tuts/polycakes/polycakes.html

This was the first time ever I made Cernit miniatures of anything, and I think I succeeded pretty well :)
Most of the cakes are about an inch in diameter, some as little as 0.7 inches. (Note that the ruler in one of the pics has centimetres marked, not inches.)

And then the sushi arrangements - the scale is so small that the chopsticks are thinned and shortened matchsticks :)

Feedback would be appreciated :)
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / My ATCs, the best of on: November 18, 2006 06:58:39 PM
Here's a (very image-heavy!) link to the best of my ATCs. These are all traded . And by the way, I've been making ATCs for only three weeks now, and 105 cards in that time is quite an achievement even if I say so myself ;)

- In case you don't want just the "best of" and/or would like to browse my ATCs one by one, then go here:

- A more frequently updated and ordered gallery of my ATCs (both traded and available) can be seen on ATCards:

Here's some choice pics from the links above:

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Game Sprite Cross-stitchs on: November 18, 2006 05:16:45 PM
Patience is not one of my virtues and I think I'd go mad if I'd have to work on a large cross-stitch project - therefore small NES/SNES sprites make perfect targets!

Celes from Final Fantasy 6 (known as Final Fantasy 3 in the US).

1-UP Mushroom from Super Mario.

Bubbleman from Megaman 2.

Heatman from Megaman 2.

Energy tank from Return to Silius.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / EGL/EGA/SL/etc. garments, a bunch of them! on: November 18, 2006 05:07:54 PM
So, here goes: the best of the EGL (Elegant Gothic Lolita) / EGA (Elegant Gothic Aristocrat) / SL (Sweet Lolita) / etc.  clothes I've made for different people over the course of maybe two years. (And no, I don't wear them myself, I'd look silly - and anyway, who would trust a doctor in a frilly lacey girly pink dress? :P )
