I wanted to try making soap for along time. So I bought a bunch of stuff at where I work and tried making some. I like them. I got Soap Molds and Cnady Molds. I did not like working with the candy molds. They were to small and the soap never wanted to come out of it, no matter what I did. Plus the hard plastic wasn't that hard and the mold split and broke. So they ended up in the trash. Here's some of the ones I made last week.

Then today I started making more. Out of the bar mold I added Chamomile and Honey Almond Fragrance.

They smell so good. It's about time to pop them out of the molds also. Then I'm on to making more herb soaps. I had a great time and enjoyed making them, just killing time on a bored afternoon.

Here is what I have made so far in the past week. I'm addicted to making Melt and Pour soaps. Now I just need to try the cold process way. Many good Soap Baskets for Christmas will come out of these. (I'm still making more real soon.)

It started out with 3 hanks of hand dyed with Wiltons Dye wool yarn.

After being knitted and stitched up, handles added and washed. I found this cute little pink felted bag waiting to air dry in the washer. I'm thinking of adding a felt cut out of a skull to stitch on the front. It needs something else.

I got this Bread Basket Kit in a yarn swap back in summer time. I finally found some fabric I wanted to make it out of.

After 5 and half hours. Yes, it was an all day project. I ended up with this. I am going to use it as a candy basket, as the boyfriend unit and I hardly ever have bread around the house. I like it. It's nifty!!

I had 2 different colors of the same printed Day of the Dead colorful skull fabric. I originally wanted to make a wall hanging out of this, but once I noticed I cut the fabric wrong, I decided on this. It came together nicely and now all it needs is a black button on each side in the middle. Plus be stitched up on the opening where I stuffed it.

I got this wooden picture frame from Michael's for $1 and I painted it seafoam green. I then saw in their scrapbook section, vacation themed word stickers. I got a package of those and put them all over the frame. I'm going to put in a picture of my boyfriend swimming while we were on vacation in the Florida Keys.

I bought 2 pairs of Halloween socks at Target back in September, when they were putting out their Halloween stuff. I knew I wanted to make something out of these, but just didn't know what. Then I found a Sock Monkey pattern online and BINGO!! So Friday night while watching tv I sewed and hand stitched these cute bad boys together.
The lime green one I put the ears of lopsided, just for a different look.

  The black skull one is named SKULLY and the lime green one is named WICKED! I love these and tomorrow I am going back to Target to get some more socks and make even more, possibly even a morbid one, cause well you know.

Needles: 10.5
Yarn: Rio De La Plata 140 yd hank (2 of them)
Cast On: 21 stitches or make it bigger or narrow by taking or adding by 3 stitches
Rows: *Knit 1, YO, Knit 2 together, then repeat from * all over.
Knit till desired length.

Love this yarn and I would tell all of you guys to get a hank or two if you can get your hands on it. So easy to work with and I love the different texture and colors. This Rio De La Plata yarn is in color LA86. Love it... Love it... Love it!

So I'm in school to become a MORTICIAN and I am a "strange girl" to begin with and like all kinds of things. I am painting the room a Strawberry color (pink and red mixed together, not blood red), with a grey stripe in the middle of the wall then the bottom is painted black.

I am gonna have a file cabinet paint it black or grey if it's not grey and have a futon in the room. Along with my computer desk and bookcase.

I have made today: 3 pillow cases (just need the stuffing)
one is a 6 sided, a bunch of triangles sewn together in black and pink Day of the Dead skull fabric. One shiny scale green which I am going to put girly googly eyes on and 2 funky buttons down the middle. Another fury fabric monster pillow, which will also get girly googly eyes on it.

I'm also making a skeleton/skull lap quilt. It's made out of 6 different skull/skeleton fabric that I have. 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" squares sewn together. 12 sewn together across and 14 down. Total of 168 squares. I plan on a plain black border and a bright pink strip and more black border.

I have all kinds of skull knickknacks that I have recently gotten at Walmart/Big Lots/Joanns and Michael's. I'm gonna decorate frames with glass marbles (since I have 6-7 pounds of them).

Anyway... what else should I do for the room? Any ideas or thoughts?? Anything would be great.
