Fleece and flannel receiving blanket, the flannel is from a sheet set that belong to my late Grandma so I loved the fact I could use it for one of my Grandchildren.

Fleece booties made from scraps

Hoping to make some Mary Janes for Alba today.

10  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: 15 Quilt Projects in 2015 on: February 09, 2015 07:37:20 AM
I have to agree with my European cousin about the cost of freezer paper, what is a grocery store item in the US is a specialist quilting shop item here in the UK too.

My walking foot is a universal one bought from China on eBay for approx 6 Euros including postage, not a machine specific one which would have cost around 4 times as much. It works,it walks  Wink Maybe it would be easier with a better quality one but that's something I won't be finding out for a while.
My quilting ruler is a handymans from the hardware store, its 18" long and has a handle in the middle so I can hold it still as I'm cutting and my biggest cutting mat is 32" and bought from the art dept of our big craft store rather than the quilting dept as the art ones were cheaper, it doesn't have angles marked on it but it does have inches and centimetres and it does protect my table from the rotary cutter   Smiley

I love scrappy quilts and I love the denim one I have in progress but like yours Immaculata it is far from perfect but I can live with that  Smiley seeing the wonderful quilts online makes me determined to improve my skills although I will never be a prizewinner or an artist I will have warm quilts for cold nights and the pleasure of having done it myself  Grin

Cursive Queen love the quilt.
