Ok, here we go. My stalker was Annchen from Sweden! I didn't even know there were swappers so near me. Anyway, she did an amazing job stalking me and making my wists come true.

She ripped some pages from an animal book for me to use the illustrations! I love forest animals. I also got a bookcrossing book. The Little Prince is my favourite, I have it in Finnish so I'm interested to read it in English, too.

Beautiful natural dyed wool yarn! They also have cute labels in Swedish. I love natural dyed fibers and even though I have a wool allergy (which Annchen had considered) I can use these as an inspiration.

Tiny, tiny dices in brooch! One was separate, I wonder if it has fell off from the row. I love board games so this is cool.

A box turned into sauna shrine! It has scented candles and small towels. I love it, now I can say I have my own sauna.

Now here's the best part, my new monster friends. I laughed when I saw the big one because I had never thought I would actually get one like that from my wists! First I thought it was store bought, but then I realised it was a teddy bear which just had ate his head off. So-freaking-cool. And the mouth is so deep that I can hardly reach the end with my fingers. I just have to figure out their names...

The small ones are taking a bath in the sauna (which apparently turned upside down, lol!). The big one is, ofcourse, very upset because it can't fit there, so it's eating the towels instead.

I absolutely love everything and can't thank enough!

Tack s hemskt myched igen, Annchen! Smiley

Alright, here is the lovely package #3 I got from lilylola! My bf is having business trips all the time and never has time to take action shots of me wearing the items, so the pics are a bit poor Undecided but I hope you all can still enjoy them.

Again I'm amazed with the beautiful jewelry. The necklace is actually a piece from an old Tamagochi which had a ride in a washing machine. Beautiful colours and great work!

A skirt from recycled fabric. It fits perfectly, it's stretchy and about knee high. Sorry about the bad photo angle, it's hard to take pictures of yourself.

A beautiful sweater from recycled jumper. It has been dyed, reshaped and decorated with different kind of buttons. I LOVE that big wooden one! One button fell off, but I can easily get it back on so no problem.

All the colours mix well together and I love them. Thank you lilylola for being such a great swap partner and a friend! What a fun swap this has been Smiley

Gosh everyone is having such a wonderful stuff! I'm a bit embarrassed to post these #2 items this late from lilylola now after several weeks. But better late than never, right?

A spinning kit with a beautiful spindle, great instructions and the softest roving ever. Then there's a clock made out of circuit board (finally a craft that my bf was also interested of!), pretty felted stones from my wist and a beautiful black crocheted necklace.

Here's a close up.

An action shot of the necklace so you can see the pattern better.

Everything was perfect for me! Thank you lilylola, you're such a good friend Smiley

I got my first package from lilylola yesterday! The room was filled with a lovely scent while I opened everything, I think there was something put on the wrapping.

Everything wrapped so beautifully, and a cute cube box!

Wrapping and box opened. Whoa! So much stuff!

Lovely crocheted neck warmer, orange hand spun yarn, a little crocheted guy from my bookmarked Google images, Japanese pendant and a heart shaped key ring.

Here's a better close up.

Her favourite things like tea and the movie Shaun of the Dead. The licorice tea smells delicious!

A close up of the small cute ballerina.

She used my Google images also to print the stationery, how clever is that! Postcards and a bookmark from her hometown and a build-it-yourself oast house!

"Roaaarrgghh..." Zombies walking on the street while I crafted my very own oast house. I didn't remember how funny zombies can be, I really should watch more zombie movies.

Thank you so much lilylola! Smiley

Woohoo I received!

Here's the whole thing:

She spoiled me with not only one, but FOUR magazines! Two craft magazines and two comics - I love them all! I can't buy these in Finland  (and to be honest, all the Finnish craft magazines are booooring) so I like these much more!

She made me her first roll!

I filled it with my stuff (I don't have many crochet hooks so I used knitting needles). It's very roomy and fits also my thickest needles. And I love that ornament fabric, just my favourite colours!

And then my favourite, a pouch with the cutest bear fabric and flower button ever!

This is also very roomy!

(Btw, the pics can be viewed larger when you click them.)

Thanks asocialcelebrity for everything! You did a great job in your first swap! Smiley

My boyfriend has jacked the camera for a while so if you took some pictures before you sent feel free to post them.

I assume you said that to me Smiley Good thing that I already have some pics in the web.

Here's the whole angel package with some extra vegan corn candy:

Gammerus had an artichoke purse in her wists, so I made one for her. It took me long time to figure out the pattern, but it was really fun challenge.

Here's the lining outside showing the artichoke heart pocket:

A recipe book which was just a boring note book before my crafting:

An ATC (the background text is Finnish if you were wondering):

More pictures can be seen in my Picasa gallery.

7  Didgeridoo in Completed Projects by Yesa on: January 11, 2008 11:17:22 AM
First of all, if you don't know what didgeridoo is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Didgeridoo
Basically it's a long, wooden pipe that resonates your sound when you blow air through it. It's an old musical instrument from Australian Aboriginal people.

After a long crafting hiatus I can proudly present my new creation. I took a course in local adult education centre where we made didgeridoos from tree trunks. They had only been dried and the branches chopped off ready for the course. It took the whole autumn, but it was fun and absolutely worth it!

My wood of choice was birch, and I'll tell you, it's hard, hard wood to work with...! The paints were made of iron oxide pigments, wood glue and water. Ok, enough with talking.

Here's a close up of the bee wax mouth piece:

It's about 1,42 meters (4,7 feet) long. I haven't learned to play it yet, but I'm getting there. Smiley Practice, practice...

NO WAY YESA!!!!

Your cards came today!  You totally rock my socks off!!!!!  They are some of the best I've seen!!!!  They are so going on the wall of my craft/bed room!

Do you have pics of them that are as clear as the ones you posted of mine?  I DO have pics of them, but the colors are not nearly as clear as the actual cards.

What?!? They already came? Wow that's some good luck for us! I'm so happy you like them! I can post photos, but I don't know if they are as good as your. It was darker when I took these so they might be a bit gray. I tried to photoshop them to fix the colors.

These are details from the third card:

So our theme was Works in Progress and we made 3 ATCs. The last one has a story behind as the brown fabric I used was a piece from my mother's old, old W.I.P. (it was supposed to become a shirt). And it's vintage Marimekko, too! Smiley

Oh My God... I was more than right about receiving soon, because there was a package waiting for me at home! And what a package it is! I post pictures as soon as my jaw rises back up. And no, we are not talking about just one ATC here!

Edit:
Ok, here are the pics of RecycleMicol's wonderful package.

Here's everything she sent. We made a deal of sending 3 ATCs instead of one and she was also sending some "small" extra for me... She sent a big board game to use in paper crafts! And some yummy candy and beautiful stamps and whatnot. I got totally spoiled!

This is a real board game she made. One of the ATCs is a mini version of the board so this came with it. It has action cards and everything!

Ok, finally to the ATCs. This was the funniest card! The Works in Progress are running to the goal and cheering for being finished, haha!

This one was cut out from the big board I got. It has a cute small felted flower in it!

And the last one is the mini board game. I love it!

Thank you so much RecycleMicol! I really hope you have my ATCs soon, too Smiley

10  Re: Let's make pincushions! in Craftalongs by Yesa on: November 01, 2006 07:57:57 AM
All your pincushions looked so nice that I had to try this out myself. I made mine of jeans - oh boy it was a pain to pull the petal thread through this thing!

I don't use the denim blue + pink combination very often, it would be too much of cuteness for me in large amounts Smiley
