| Brief Bio, News in Your Life, etc: | altered (I'm now half man via a stem cell transplant for leukemia Nov 13 2003) mommy (3 fabulous kids... poli-sci/religion degree holder 25, artist/actor/junk collector 21 and the princess of everything/artistic genius 18)......Just celebrated 28 years of marriage to my swell fella!
We live in a house full of antiques, retro collectables, art, junk, knitting/spinning/painting/collageing/shrine making supplies/random crap to glue on other stuff/rusty bottle caps, 2 pooches Oscar and Izzie plus an enormous black cat named Sam located in Northern Alberta, Canada (land of pickup trucks, oil wells, trees, deer and moose eating my front yard garden beds, summer light till almost midnight, 6 feet of snow and -40C in a seemingly endless winter....)
I love to travel and have been to Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Cyprus, the western United States (Las Vegas! Portland!!) and down south to Atlanta, Raleigh, Virginia. I just took my dream trip to England and Ireland in the fall of 2011 so am currently coming up with my next trip to pine for 
After leukemia in 2003, my priorities have become crystal clear-appreciate your family and friends and do stuff you love....RIGHT NOW!!! Eat stuff you love, take naps and have FUN!! I love the craftster community spirit and spend time here every day....haha really I spend most of my time here every day
Please donate to your local blood bank and think about joining a bone marrow registry....it took over 40 blood transfusions AND a stem cell donation from a generous stranger for me to kick leukemia's ass!!! |

Craftster, silver jewelry, craft supplies, hearts, travel (especially road trips), handspun yarn, hand-dyed yarn and roving, my fave colours are turquoise/brown/limey green, love rings and bracelets, choker length neckaces, tattoos, hippie/reconstructed/interesting clothes, I collect crosses/buddhas/purses/art of all shapes and sizes, old orthodox icon art, I LOVE foreign language text especially russian, Greek and the other cyrillic languages!! sarcasm, black humour, magazines, baths over showers, white tea, cheese!!, belgian raspberry beer, cadbury mini eggs, Karma perfume

neon colours, forest green, I don't like (hate actually) gold/gold-tone jewellry; too much makeup especially lipstick; socks and sandals; jogging pants with phrases on the ass; "cute" stuff..babies in flowerpots, puppies and kitties;life like dolls REALLY FREAK ME OUT!!; the apparent demise of manners/simple politeness
